I think he'd blow it all, too. But I think unlike Phil, he'd manage to have housing arranged before he blew the rest.

If by the time she dies, they get a judgment lien on the property, that would have to be satisfied before ownership could be transferred to Chris. (Also I'd be amazed if she hasn't taken out secured loans on a HELOC or something.)

Assuming Chris is the sole heir. If Barb ties intestate, Cole Smithey would have an equal claim and could also force a sale.
I wonder how Chris would react if big bro Cole shows up solely to force the sale of 14BLC :story:

Wouldn't that make Mr. Alan Cole Smithey some kind of a-log? Christian does need a roof over his head. He is a human being.
Cole is a dick, yeah. But the best thing for Chris would be a group home or assisted living apartment to force him to adopt some structure in his life.

Now if Cole forces the sale that obviously wouldn't mean CWC would have to wind up in a group home. But it would get him out of 14BLC, which imho would be a good thing. If he keeps the house he will just waste away alone.

Would Cole really want to bother investing in cleaning up the hoard and renovating the house in order to sell it in the first place? I highly doubt he'd be able to sell the place for a very high price.

a sale would be for the best. it would force chris into a group home where he belongs. he cannot function in society

But like it was said above, would it really "force" him into a group home? I'm curious as to how those arrangements work out.

a necessity to have a place to live? if there's no house and no stable income, he's either homeless or group home

The two half-brothers haven't seen each other in 12 years. Is Cole a big enough dick to skip the funeral of his cantankerous harpy bitch of a mother? Maybe. I mean, Rocky will be there because she is too nice for her own good, but I can't think of a single other person other than Aunt Corina, possibly.

Him and Phil could make a lovenest under a bridge somewhere

I think he's a big enough dick to send Chris an email mocking him, then skip the funeral, then try to sell the house out from under Chris if it's remotely possible.

Chris mostly can't be forced into a group home. If you know what you're doing, you could probably essentially trick Chris into agreeing to it. That depends on if you know ahead of time that Chris might be resistant to the idea. If you mention "group home" (or something similar) in the first five minutes, you might end up fucking it up.

I was going to say that such a thing might be too cruel to expect even of Cole, but then I remembered that this is the man who didn't like Toy Story and realized he must both literally have no soul and also be the reincarnation of Hitler.

I've always imagined she'd return as Pizza The Hut.View attachment 104349
How about Barbara the Hutt?

I think as much as he does want to do it, he will refrain because it's best to not remind Chris that he exists. Of course if Chris suddenly remembers Cole and tries to mooch off him then Cole will probably go ahead fuck Chris over for being annoying.

I dare anyone here to imagine four things occurring in order:

1) having Barb as your parent.
2) having a selfish money sink like Chris as a brother person you barely know who assumes you owe him.
3) escaping.
4) going back ever for any reason.

Go ahead then. Demonstrate what a saintly child you would be. Just be careful not to break your arm jerking yourself off.
