What evidence do we have that barb is unable to care for herself and not just a lazy fuck?

It would be labeled as "self-neglect".
The 6 warning signs of self-neglect most often cited by care managers are:
  1. Signs of poor personal hygiene/not bathing or taking care of hair and nails (92 %).
  2. Poor medication management or refusing to take medications (89%).
  3. Signs of dehydration, malnutrition or other unattended health conditions (75%).
  4. Unsanitary of [sic] very unclean living quarters (72%).
  5. Signs of unpaid bills, bounced checks or utility shut-offs (64%).
  6. Lack of adequate food in house or signs of weight loss (63%).
It would be an easy case to make if Barb actually has been diagnosed with some type of mental impairment and Chris is handling the household finances. They live in filth and constantly are begging for money and food. Chris buying frivolities does not look good. The feces and poor state of the animals making that feces probably looks bad too.

Nice to know there's a clinical term for being a lazy piece of shit.

All jokes aside, Barb does have mental disorder of some kind. As evidenced by the hoarding. At this point I'm sure they could make a case of 14 Bc.

It would only take a phone call :tomgirl:

They had all of that years ago though, Bob was the one that kept things in semi-order so when he died things went to shit but Barb still had her marbles.

They did not have dancing videos though. Or begging for money/food videos. Barb was also in better health.

It will eventually come down to adult protective services (yes, it exists) making a decision about the welfare of the old lady at 14bc. She can refuse to care for herself to an extent, but finding her alone in a soiled diaper surviving on Ensure while dogs defecate around her is unlikely to be seen as the best situation for her. Authorities also take a dim view of financial exploitation of the elderly, so hopefully Chris is spending in areas of need (if he is indeed the one managing the purse)

They are not going to bang down the door for Barb, but a neighbor complaining of possible abuse or endangered welfare might get the ball rolling.

Keep in mind that Barb is probably not too bad even if she has some condition causing mental decline. Outbursts, violence, and wandering are all associated with dementia. Chris has not mentioned anything that would be a sign of really bad state of health for Barb (like talking about going to work, wondering when Cole will be coming home, or wandering around the neighborhood.) She looks frightful though.

Chris hasn’t talked about Cole much lately, I hope that means he understands that it’s not likely his brother’s going to move back to Virginia. I wonder if Cole gave Chris his blessing to sell old toys.

I doubt Cole has spoken to Chris at all since the parrappa incident, Chris got pretty angry when he drew that carnegie hall pic and thought it would shame Cole into looking after Barb. Cole has no doubt been spammed by weens and must be sick to fucking death of being informed what his tarded half "sister" is up to, keeping his head down is the smartest thing anyone sharing Barbs DNA has ever done.

Chris and Barb had no idea Cole even got married. Cole basically considers himself an orphan, and I don't blame him one bit.
Now I have to wonder, if it was just Barb, would he have invited her?

He hates Barb more than Chris, has he ever even met Chris?
He's met Chris plenty of times, his 18th birthday and Barb and Chris visited him in California once. It's actually kinda weird and maybe telling, but at some point starting in the early 2000s, Cole just decided he hated Barb and Chris.
Cole even traveled across the country when he was well into his 30s to attend Chris's 18th birthday:

Now why just a few years later would an adult and long gone Cole just decide these people don't exist?

Also that would be goddamn hilarious if cole hooked up with Chris's teenage gal pals at that party. "Hey I'm Cole, yeah I play drums a punk band in San Diego, it's pretty cool. Anyway, you said your name was Kellie?"

With the way things are progressing, I'm really starting to think that once Barb's ascended to the Heavenly Hoard, somebody's going to take him in as the ultimate relic. Chris has become so well-known to so many nut jobs (not you beautiful people), that he's going to become somebody's pet. Add in this crazy bisexual prostitution thing, and I'm really concerned Chris is going to end up being badly abused. Chris is completely emotionally dependent, and there's some real predatory stuff going on right now. When Barb is the lesser of two evils, you know your life is going down the toilet.

He looks like an unfunny David Cross.

He will be taken away to an institution. That is his best scenario. If he is REALLY lucky, a social worker will acknowledge that he is incapable of living alone, of self sustaining under the excuse of his medical records (you know... autism and all that good stuff) and concluding that he needs constant supervision.

That is the best case scenario, to be taken away to the loony house. Worst? He is left alone, his stupidity, lack of sense of responsibility, self control and immaturity will get the better of him and turn him homeless, probably dying a year after in an alley.

What he is probably expecting to happen is someone to take care of him. Some tranny or a tranny group housing him. It won't take long till they get tired of him and kick him out of the house for... well, for being Chris Chan.

This. Chris will either be locked up in the loony bin or he will end up on the streets.

What makes you think Chris is incapable of living alone? He's already proven he can budget his finances (albeit, poorly). He can feed himself. Hell, he's even made sure Barb is taken care of (again, not the best, but it's something). Group home, maybe if he keeps getting into these legal trouble, but I think Chris can be more independent than you're giving him credit for.

When did Chris ever make sure that Barb will be "taken care of"?
