What should I do with this fan motor?

I have a small fan motor lying around. I also have a lot of weeds. If I stick a bunch of metal blades where the plastic fan blades should be, and attach it to a pole, what are the chances I just kill myself by slashing my legs instead of take care of the weeds? I am too cheap right now to just buy a weed whacker. I already have some tools for weeding, and they work, but I can't help but feel like I should use that motor for something instead of just throwing it away.

What else can I try with a small fan motor?
