I blew through most of Link's Awakening with no problem but I did get stuck on Eagle's Tower like I always do. It just doesn't have the same flow as a typical Zelda dungeon, in other words it's challenging because it's not intuitive. I always get stuck on getting the iron ball to the last pillar. The boss is also hard and you might have to take a few runs at it because the fight restarts if you fall off the top of the Tower.

I wanted something a little longer this time so I started Pokemon Leaf Green. I picked up a very Serious natured Charmander. Charmander has always been my favorite over all...though that Sword one from the one set in France was pretty cool.

EDIT: I need a Switch..but I have no idea what game to get. Smash and Breath of the Wild are safe bets, but I really want to play Xenoblade 2.
 
Spider-Man. Was on my radar for a while but finally bought it after taking care of some other titles.

And goddamn. This game, shit Mary Jane and Miles Morales stealth missions aside, is so immensely enjoyable. The most fun I've had in a superhero game since Arkham City. I need a sequel now.

I've been going back and forth between Smash Ultimate and Persona 5 lately. I had the latter already installed on my PS4, but it wasn't until the announcement that the P5 protagonist is gonna DLC that I finally got a start on it.

As someone who's never played a Persona game prior, Persona 5 is the most interesting game I ever played. It's both fun and at the same time very intimidating with how you have to manage your time exploring palaces and stuff you do in the real world, especially since you have hard deadlines to meet and the relationships you build with the characters actually makes you stronger. From what I read online, this is definitely a game that I'll be playing for a while.

I've just begun on the second palace right now.
 
Finally started Okami, I'm gathering the canine warriors for the princess. Love how Amaterasu is more dog than god and constanly falls asleep during dialogue.
 
Granblue Fantasy. Got back into it recently because the event i've been waiting a fucking year for finally showed up and i'm grinding it like a motherfucker. That, and Christmas Metera because I love cute thots with backless outfits.
 
Resident Evil 3. After I found out that you could get the original trilogy for a £10 each I've basically dug up my PS Vita and played them. Surprisingly those games were made to be played while on the toilet, which you couldn't do in the 90s.

Well you could but who would take and plug in their TV and PlayStation One in the bathroom every time they needed a shit?
 
I got the Sega collection on my switch and decided for whatever reason to play Phantasy Star 2, and holy shit that game is :autism::autism::autism:. I have no idea how anyone could play these shitty early 90s jrpgs but i am a glutton for punishment so i guess its more animu bullshit for me

Ugh, I remember playing this through in the 90s. Thankfully I had a strategy guide, those dungeons are NO FUN! Super sameish looking. Multiple floor and no recognizable features. Oh and then a whole list of spells with super unintuitive names. Wanna know what a spell does? Look it up :P
 
The original System Shock on an old Cyrix Pentium-alike. There's something about that slight lag in a big room and the midi music farting at you through tinny speakers no emulator can quite capture. If you are a retro aficionado here's a little tip for ya: used Point-of-Sale screens. They're small, (12-13") 4:3, have reasonable resolutions (800x600-1024x768) deal very well with weird DOS resolutions, offer VGA/D-DVI and still have a reasonable modern and bright panel. Many also have inbuilt speakers and a touchscreen that is not hard to get to work in older Windows versions.
 
Just finished the Xenosaga series. The decision to turn a planned six game series into a trilogy is definitely apparent by the time you get to the end of Episode III. The game goes into overdrive with the religious imagery and crams so much shit into the final few bosses/cutscenes a lot of the stuff they're trying to explain comes across as vague and half baked.

Still, I mostly enjoyed my time with it. Episode III in particular was really good other than the stuff mentioned above. After the more traditional Xenoblade games I'd like to see them return to the religion and giant robots of Gears and Saga.
 
I recently got into the Quake series. Been playing Quake 2 and 3, with most of my time spent on the latter. Enemy AI can be a pain sometimes (or maybe I just suck), but it's a ridiculously fun game. My favorite weapons are the shotgun and lightning gun.

Also finally got a chance to play Asterix & Obelix XXL 2, since it was recently released on Steam. I've been wanting to play it for years, but it was never released outside of Europe. There's also a third game coming out late next year.
 
this... but since i´m getting old i do it on a emulator so i may savestate. hard floaty game is hard... and floaty.

Wing Commander 3 for the 3DO because everyone was bitching to me that the PSX version is not good enough, so if you want to see Mark Hamill killing furries in space this is your game

Protip: dont emulate it in 4DO because it look like ass, use Project Phoenix with the Goldstar BIOS
 
Dead Air mod for STALKER and HITMAN 2.

Trying to ease back into the former. Fun game mod but I hate how using ammo requires me to equip it. With the latter, I've been playing the remastered levels of its predecessor. Wanted to assassinate the singer of a millennial band but a bug ensures the manager to keep checking her phone than lead the singer to the cake I poisoned. So instead I just let him die of electric shock which didn't scare anyone at the fact he died until I opened the door to his booth.
