Aside from SCVI, I've been playing the Dead Air mod for STALKER. All the progress made yesterday is now to be replaced since the mod devs didn't fix something broken with a quest (save an ecologist from bandits but the option to have ecologist come along doesn't appear).

I'm not sure if Project Soul developed the AI or DIMPS, if it was DIMPS then that would explain everything because they can't program AI for shit. Friendly AI is always dumber than a sack of rocks and then with hostile AI you're basically facing Jimmy Neutron with the kind of bullshit they come up with. That's with something as simple as Xenoverse, too, God help us if Bandai Namco had them build the AI for something as complex as Soulcalibur.
If they went with DIMPS, they should of just stick with the guys that did AI in SCV or SCIV.

Okay I'm officially in love with Soul Calibur VI. The combat is fun and at time very intense and the Reversal Edge mechanic makes it even more spectacular. While tough fights like the aforementioned NPC Xianghua are hard and prone to cause a lot of hurt feelings, they make each victory feel the more satisfying and earned.

The Armour Break is basically Ikkitousen styled clothing damage, and I love it. During my playthrough of the Libra of Souls there is one mission where you have to fight a Chinese woman who's only weak against low attacks and who uses Mitsurugi's style. Her and my character (for the heck of it I decided to make Chifusa, as her series is set approximately in the same time as SCVI) ended up Armour Breaking each other until the fight was literally two chicks in underwear having a samurai sword fight. My inner weeb is most pleased and I am grateful to the Lord that the devs focused on fun instead of succumbing to the e-sports faggotry.
I get the idea of satisfying and earned victory but for some, winning the fight is less satisfying and more of "fucking finally". All that said, armor break truly is satisfying. Shame it looks as though Geralt doesn't get that same treatment as everyone else. This likely sums up fun instead of succcumbing to the e-sports.

Let me put it this way: If you thought NPC Xianghua was a tough nut to crack...
...wait until you meet level 75 Inferno. I was very tempted to pull a DSP.

And e-sports in my opinion can't die soon enough.

Level 75 Inferno is bound to make anyone a DSP, especially with how Libra of Souls throws in more conditional BS.

"AW KAHM AAAAHN! Complete fucking bullshit!"

I recently had a mission where you fight a Level 54 opponent who has Cervantes' fighting style. He drains your life points and ring outs are disabled. One trick is to diversify your combat style. I made my life unnecessarily miserable by giving my character the Soul of Mitsurugi in spite of me being a Taki main for over a decade. And you also need to know which foods to use. Having mercenaries will make some fights less difficult. It's almost like in real life: If your enemy cheats, so must you.

Sorry for the double post, but...
2B has been confirmed for Soul Calibur VI! This game just keeps on delivering, holy shit!

I just splurged and grabbed a bunch of stuff for PS4 I'd been saving up for, still waiting on a few of them from Amazon but I'm excited as fuck to have a bunch of new stuff to play.

Berserk & The band of the hawk
Outlast + Whistlerblower
Bedlam: the game
Death's Gambit
SuperHot (mainly because I want to play it on my couch instead of PC.)
Dark Souls remaster (I've never actually been able to play it on the steam version, so it's the only one I haven't played yet of the series.)
Nioh
Nier:Automata
Shadow of the Colossus
Shenmue 1 & 2
/SPOILER]

Finally finished Tokyo Xanadu a couple weeks ago. Typical Falcom kino. Check it out.

Currently ten hours into the recent PC port of Resonance of Fate. Underrated gem from a while back. Battle system is incredibly fun and unique. Just wish it had a more coherent story and immersive world to back it up.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (Switch) - Looks pretty, races nice.
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (PS2) - Going for 100% completion.

Remember to save up money and buy the Miami Club early, the missions give you enough money to purchase other properties.

And try to not spend money on weapons on the Ammu-Nation

Playing Way of the Samurai for the PS2.

This game is kicking my ass so far. Having a hard time getting past the second guy.

Needed a short break from Wasteland 2 so I decided to see what other games I was neglecting. Found 20XX in my Steam library and remembered that I couldn't play it because I couldn't find my Xbox 360 controller. Well, I found the fucking controller recently, and now I've hooked it up and I'm enjoying some rouge-like MegaMan style goodness.

Its been a while since I played it but who is the second guy? If you are having trouble you can always try a different story path if I remember correctly.

It's the dude who has his goons wreck the restaurant. I actually got better and can beat him somewhat consistently now.

I think I almost got to the end of one path but died to a group of military guys right before I got to their general. : (

All in all, this is a very unique game. The actual game world itself is pretty tiny, but there's still quite a bit to it and you can approach each situation differently. It's pretty clear this is an experimental title, but it's an interesting one nontheless.

Quite a bit of roleplaying potential as well. You can act like a valiant hero, a cocky asshole, or just stay silent and let your sword do the talking.

I was kinda intimidated by the "You die once, that's it." mechanic, but the game seems short enough so that failure isn't that big of a deal.

Just need to get better at parrying and dodging. Also I kinda wish that you can manually switch targets, but the enemies are pretty good about not wanting to hurt their own, so it isn't a big deal.
