What are you playing right now?

Green Hell. Think I've about tired of it but got a good 20 hours in. Fun game, better than the Forest IMO, especially relative to where the Forest was (an awful mess) when it first came out in EA.

I am also currently playing Soul Calibur VI right now. It's beautiful. I wish it had as much khantent as Soul Calibur III but it's still worth getting it. Given the direction other fighting games are heading, Soul Calibur VI is something I'm glad it exists.

I'm finally getting around to booting up my copy of Wasteland 2. Should have done it ages ago, but my last pile of shit computer couldn't handle it and I kinda forgot I bought a copy.

Really? I played it on a cheap-ish laptop manufactured before the game was released. It's a good game, it got shit on for being too "traditional" but that was what they pitched. There are negative things about the game but being more old-school wasn't one of them, with the exception of old-school bugs those were not necessary.

I've been enjoying the shit out of it. Anybody complaining that it's too Old School can go play CoD and fuck off.

I remember the loading times being pretty horrible.
Unity just makes every game worse.

Oh yeah, that. I didn't find it much of an issue though because of the way I play games(slowly and rarely).
The thing that bugged me was that random encounters happened on the same map(s) with the same enemies, that was tedious even if it meant that you could pick up some ammunition and such.

Soul Calibur VI. Beyond having some bs artificial difficulty moments in it, I decided to try character creation again. Ended up making the late Billy Herrington.

Daikatana

Just finished installing and repairing it to be playable on modern systems. It's been a long ass time since I played the game and but let's be clear on one thing, the game isn't as bad as the whole internet makes it out to be.
It's not executed all that well (although still not as bad as the internet likes to claim) but it has some really neat ideas in there.

The N64 version is garbage though.

DOOM 2 + Russian Overkill. Although to be fair that shouldn't be "right now"; once you start getting super-weapons, it takes about 20 minutes to finish the game.

I just wish the devs can tone down the AI since I really don't like fighting an AI controlled Xianghua or Voldo that keeps blocking everything and the like.
I'm not sure if Project Soul developed the AI or DIMPS, if it was DIMPS then that would explain everything because they can't program AI for shit. Friendly AI is always dumber than a sack of rocks and then with hostile AI you're basically facing Jimmy Neutron with the kind of bullshit they come up with. That's with something as simple as Xenoverse, too, God help us if Bandai Namco had them build the AI for something as complex as Soulcalibur.

Okay I'm officially in love with Soul Calibur VI. The combat is fun and at time very intense and the Reversal Edge mechanic makes it even more spectacular. While tough fights like the aforementioned NPC Xianghua are hard and prone to cause a lot of hurt feelings, they make each victory feel the more satisfying and earned.

The Armour Break is basically Ikkitousen styled clothing damage, and I love it. During my playthrough of the Libra of Souls there is one mission where you have to fight a Chinese woman who's only weak against low attacks and who uses Mitsurugi's style. Her and my character (for the heck of it I decided to make Chifusa, as her series is set approximately in the same time as SCVI) ended up Armour Breaking each other until the fight was literally two chicks in underwear having a samurai sword fight. My inner weeb is most pleased and I am grateful to the Lord that the devs focused on fun instead of succumbing to the e-sports faggotry.

I love the visuals as well and the soundtrack is a thing of beauty. And dear God is Azwel such a fun villain! It's like Dynasty Warriors 3 Zhang Jiao combined with David Lo Pan and Shang Tsung. Plus it has Geralt from The Witcher and Taki, aka best girl, is back!

The more fun I have with Soul Calibur VI, the more it breaks my heart when I see what they're about to do to Dead or Alive 6.
