South Park: The Fractured But Whole (PS4) - Enjoying myself so far and have had a few laugh out loud moments. All the Ubisoft club exclusive/microtransaction costumes have definitely raised my eyebrows, though. I can see The Stick of Truth running through this game's veins, but there are also traces of an annoying company's fingerpints.

Resident Evil 4 (PS4) - As fun as I remember it. Looks nice. Turning feels a bit rough; either that's a problem with the port or it's been too long. I love the scene where Leon calls Hannigan just to tell her the church door is locked. Somehow I missed that fifteen years ago.

Started La-Mulana 2 this weekend and it might be the first game I've played in 2018 and I hope to play it some more this week. It's just fantastic and has everything I like:

The exaggerated 80's style cover to set the tone! Wow just imagine what this game will be!

Oh it looks like that...

There's weird and charmy humor(sorry, they get better, this is the a screen I found) that you get by scanning things or via texts and when visiting the locals who always helps themselves to your number and maybe give you an app they've written.

That's the overworld with merchants and such.

Puzzling! There is combat but enemies are just in your way so you can get to all of that puzzling in the game. When you figure out the solution to some of them... Good times.
Like this one. There's a lot going on in the screen with the goddesses, things you understand after playing for a bit, that makes you go "ooooh" when you start to have an idea of what to do.

The game plays like a Castlevania game when it comes to movement and jumping, it feels heavy and deliberate plus you have a whip, but the overall game is like a Metroidvania with some Myst fragrance sprayed over it.

It's not too punishing either(not yet for me at least) and the first hour lets you explore and figure things out. There's also save-stones and at any time you can warp back to anyone one of them, just froom bossfights if you want. What is challenging is having to think and notice things in the environments, clues in texts, visual clues by looking at statues etc. It's hard to describe, but it's really good, there's such a great satisfaction to have figured things out.

The story is also really cool, something that should be up the alley of Earthboud/Mother fans, but that cat was out of the bag after the first game but they have created a really fun setup for a sequel.

It's 20 bagels on steam/GOG right now and I highly recommend it.

CrossCode, really fun ARPG. Occasionally switching to my Android emulator to play Azur Lane.

Star Control: Origins. It seems to be more of an action adventure game than a strategy which is fine by me since I'm not a huge fan of that genre and I like exploration. I also like the tongue in cheek writing and the old campy Star Trek vibe to it.

i'm playing sam and max hit the road right now. i forgot the game existed until telltale games shut down.

Loaded up an old save on We Love Katamari and remembered that the game is pretty much perfect. I even did and found some things I never did before like finding those last two cousins I never got around to getting, unlocking the cousin stage, seeing an extra ending sequence, and finally unlocking the Rose level that I've heard about years ago.

Not sure if I'll ever get one million roses, but for now, it's therapeutic playing this game again.

Kinda makes me want to play the newer games at some point.

Dark Souls 2 Scholars of the First Sin. I played a shit ton of DS1, BB, and DS3, but I never liked DS2 much when it first came out. Decided it might be a good time to give DS2 SOTFS a try, plus with some mod fixes for the clunky movement i remember the game having. Its actually not as bad as i remember it being, enjoying quite a bit. Doubt ill be doing multiple playthroughs like i did with the other games though.

Batman: Arkham Knight

By "playing" I mean clocking maybe two hours in a week if I'm lucky. I never finished it on my first run through since I think Yakuza 0 came out while I was playing it the first time. It's good. People give the batmobile too much shit, but it's very fun to control.

Star Trek: Elite Force 2, gotta love it when Picard makes some asshole Starfleet Officer shut up like a boss.

Red Dead Revolver, a lot of people seem to forget about that game, here's hoping that the characters from Revolver make an appearance in Redemption 2.
Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne

I am playing through it for the first time, actually.
Be sure to learn more about the Magatama game mechanics early on. It'll help you in the long run, be sure not to focus exclusively on one.

Alien Swarm: Reactive Drop

getting closer and closer to 100% achievement completion with all the speedruns and brutal campaigns
