War of Rights is a tactical first-person shooter video game released in early access in 2018 and made by Campfire Games, which is based out of Denmark. The game is set during the American Civil War with players choosing between two teams of either the Union or the Confederacy. It's somewhat niche but has a generally devoted following.

Besides the ACW, There are plans to release a limited time-event centered around the American Revolutionary War beginning in July 2025.

Unfortunately actually playing the game as-intended i.e. with cohesive units generally requires you to keep the company of the most obnoxious mealy-mouthed geriatrics on the internet who cannot stop talking for one single second

Here are some gameplay clips to get an idea of what to expect. Coordination with a unit is very important for an individual player and artillery is very powerful. May be a good idea to join a regiment/clan to get the most out of the line battle combat experience.

I've seen better coordination and tactics in a roblox napoleonic reenactment game

Is there any appreciable differences in equipment between the two sides? I know at the ranges I've seen in most videos of it that wouldn't likely matter.

How does this game handle the possibility of a bunch of guys showing up with that damn Yankee gun that can be loaded on Sunday and fired all week?

This game is great but the dissonance I got playing Friday on the American sides with a fucking British guy yelling orders at me was something else. I hope they keep the 1776 mode an option in the future but I think it's a limited time event then back to regular ole civil war shenanigans. There are some RP types on the servers as well as plenty of people just looking to have fun and be retarded...in formation!

desire to blare the trap remix of "Union Dixie" at ear-shatteringly loud volume into the mic intensifies
