Twitter is killing off its social media video-sharing app and platform Vine as it trims its headcount and costs. The social network said the Vine mobile app would be discontinued “in the coming months”.

Twitter said in a blog post: “Nothing is happening to the apps, website or your Vines today. We value you, your Vines and are going to do this the right way. You’ll be able to access and download your Vines. We’ll be keeping the website online because we think it’s important to still be able to watch all the incredible Vines that have been made.”

If only twitter would get trolled and leave the internets.

Vine was clearly dying anyway, now that Twitter lets users tweet videos at a maximum length of 2:20.

Vine seemed to be composed of ratchet niggos anyway, soooo...I guess nothing of value was lost. Like they'll just find another Vine-esque app and attach themselves to it.

Oh man, I can't express how happy I am to hear this. The place has been infested with Tumblrites since the start. I might make a lolcow thread in the cringe category on a few of those people. You haven't seen the things I've seen.

Good thing I never done much with mine there.

And nothing of value was lost.
If I wanted to see young Chads scream into a phone camera and quote rap music/black Twitter memes...I wouldn't. I have taste, thank you very much.
