This is one of my favourite things about Trump. He realises that his day to day existence is utterly fucking insane when compared to 99.9% of the rest of humanity and he fully embraces it .

His life is "yeah, fuck it, what are we doing?" and this bothers all of the right people. The fact that he became a two time president by just insulting the fuck out of people and no selling every single attempt to finish him off both legally and physically is fucking nuts. "Make America Great Again" is the official slogan but "What Are You Going To Do About It, Faggot?" could have been equally fitting.

He's an outsider who completely disrupted the 2 party system in the US and all of the people who claim to be anti-establishment hate him because they can't see beyond the (R) he had to have in front of his name to get elected. It's fucking hilarious.

The Republican party used to have two major factions, the Corporatists/Libertarian (yes ew I know) faction, and the Nativist/Protectionist faction. Both were substantially retarded and I'm 70% certain that the Nativists were red herrings to propagate the 'republicans racist' angle. What Trump did was come in, take the EXTREMELY popular Nativists/Protectionist general ideas (that nobody wanted to admit too in polite company), and twist the wording just right to make it not only inoffensive to those who actually listen to what he said (including Latinos), but also functional.

Trump effectively did as Teddy Roosevelt did in taking a populist portion of his party that was underutilized, and expand it into a broad reaching political powerhouse. The mix of moderate and hard stances that Obama pretended to have.
