I've been extremely busy over the last couple of days with work so I haven't been keeping up with any news or this thread. I had a friend make an important point at lunch today that we should all keep in mind. "The media lied to us non-stop, especially in the recent past, about COVID, the economy, the state of Biden's health, and almost every issue under the sun. It's probably not a good idea to believe they've started telling the truth about anything at this point, especially the upcoming election."

edit: His reason for mentioning that were his observations about how fake and astroturfed the whole embrace of Kamala is. He said it seems like it's really gone into overdrive this week after the VP pick.

The problem with gradual decline is that it picks up speed as there are less and less means to stabilize the nation. Biden's four years has been catastrophic both home and abroad for America. Of all the scandals and fucks, the worst has been the economy. America can't survive another four years of Biden's economy with "just print money" style inflation. If Kalama wins, even if she wins fairly, there will be blood. We are at a breaking point.

The economy can be fixed. Even the deepest recession only lasts 3-4-5 years and then the economy recovers.

The international damage to america is way worse and may take decades to repair.
Saudi Arabia refusing to take phone calls from the White House and even starting to sell oil in non-USD currencies.
That kind of damage to relations to allies takes a long time to recover from.
