The Republicans latch on military voters as the Democrats latch on minority voters. It's pathetic.
Not quite, but it also depends on the election. Every branch has their own trends with the air force being the most liberal (about 50/50 most elections) and the Marine Corps being the most conservative (about 65/35 most elections.) Before hispanics started shifting right post-Obama, the minority vote was like 90/10 for democrats. There's less than 1.5 million active duty service members in the US compared to 63 million hispanics and 47 million blacks.

The military vote is insignificant.

I have no idea why the left wants him climbing the ranks outside of the fact that he is again a retard.
I strongly suggest you look at Joe Biden and then think long and hard about how behind-the-scenes power brokers benefit from complete retards in power.
Crenshaw is probably the worst politician to be shat out of Texas after the Bushes.
He's got time to figure out how to be worse.
And I think that happened in 1856, right before the Civil War. Time is a circle.
1855. 1856 was when Representative Preston Brooks of South Carolina broke his walking cane over Senator Charles Sumner of Massachusetts on the Senate floor.
So the machine is turning against itself.
Yeah, it turns out holding your ground can be surprisingly successful in politics.
pretty sure that was a warhammer 40k reference
Yeah, but considering what a cheapskate Biden is when it comes to his money and not someone else's its probably just bronze at best or gilded iron at worst.

On a national scale it matters as much as the Native American vote, although with that said it is a little bit more significant then that. There are some negative sentiments if a politician is not perceived as "helping the veterans" though but that is mostly a boomer thing and could potentially go away the more the US Armed Forces as institution rot from the inside out. On a federal level it is becoming ever harder to distinguish what legislation actually helps the servicemen who need it, the commissars who lead from a desk and the military industrial complex.

The look on his face at the end of that clip really makes me wonder if he has an account here. He is thoroughly enjoying being a thorn in McCarthy's side.
An account? No. That would be evidence that could be used against him.
A frequent visitor? YES.

Right now I'm just waiting for one of them to pull out a Switch or something.

This is the ruling class we're talking about. If Elvis had a golden shitter, then Biden will have his golden throne (which he also happens to shit on.)

Wild. Can we have some of that this year? Maybe some slapfights, or a flying kick? Would sure help sell the Banana Republic look that Biden is going for.

Nowadays it's not a question - never the first, the second group gets helped out a decent amount, and the third group is always getting their pork.

"Perceived" is the key word here. Every veteran service has been an enormous pile of shit for 100+ years. No matter how many Dan Crenshaws you put in congress and no matter how many NFL games the blue angels fly over, 90% of veteran issues are the direct result of bureaucracy and the people in charge not giving a shit.

My grandfather warned me when I joined up that I'm going to meet a lot of people that are going to try and kill me, but the VA will probably be the one to succeed.

I'd rather not since the 1850's had Kansas turned into an open battleground between abolitionists and slavery advocates, which was seen by the rest of the USA as a sad prelude of what was to come in 1861.

I mean, remember summer 2020?
I do, and I remember the orgy of violence died as soon as a pudgy kid shot three criminals and killed two of them, which is a stark contrast to Bleeding Kansas which was almost a decade of constant violence by both sides that was only emboldened by opposition as opposed to backing down in the face of it.

It’s not that power corrupts them; it’s that they were corruptible to begin with.
If men were of incorruptible then there would be no need for god nor utopian ideals.

I'm afraid Shelia Jackson Lee takes the cake for that.

I want my representatives to beat each other to death all the time at the federal level. It would make Congress much better place with how the US is currently. At least then my representatives are actually paid to do something worthwhile rather than steal even more of my money.

I think if there was a requirement to serve (be it in EMS, Fire, Military, LEO, or as public defenders) to vote, we would be in a better spot. But that is a pipe dream to model ourselves like the Swiss.

I'm hearing that Trump supported McCarthy for the House role. This place says otherwise. I'm not sure what is happening. McCarthy is losing ten times and counting.

What if Trump intentionally "backed" an inferior candidate to slow down the House proceedings or something?
Trump made a post on TruthSocial saying he supports McCarthy. Someone made a fake Trump press release saying he recinded his support. Trump posted on TruthSocial saying that was fake.
