It is too late for the Fed to stop inflation. There's the sort of inflation because the Fed prints money, hands it to the investor class, who then uses it to buy up assets and enrich themselves stimulate the economy. Then there's the sort of inflation that happens because Congress spends money into existence. The Federal Reserve can tighten all it wants, but it can't stop that latter force, because the federal debt is now so large that sufficiently tight central bank policy will cause interest payments on the federal debt to exceed tax revenues, putting our currency into a death spiral.

Feel free to do a deep search on my post history and see where I've ever in the years I've been on this site shared any sentiment of the sort that I want something like that. Either you're confusing me for someone else or you're stamping me with a label as a thought-terminating exercise so you can just write off my statements. I myself have numerous times lamented the lack of americans to be spurned to actually do something about how shitty the country is and even I understand what the circumstances that cause such civil strife are and we're headed for it.
