their last martyr was a career criminal who threatened a pregnant lady with a gun and overdosed on fentanyl as he was being arrested. I don't think they're real picky.

Nah, its made it worse. Militarized police have all these fancy, 'less-lethal' tools at their disposal. Non-Militarized police have a baton, handguns, a few shotguns and rifles. Militarization means they have more escalation steps before they do the right thing and shoot these people for trying to affect a fucking jailbreak.

That being said, I'm going against my usual grain and siding with "Nothing ever Happens" because when push comes to shove, these people are retards. When left to their own devices in seattle, they collapsed into petty warlordism, and everywhere that actually bothers to push back dismantles their efforts in short order. Now that ICE actually has a mandate and authority to back it up, I have no reason to believe they'll suddenly go full cuck.

These people can seethe, cry and riot all they want, the criminals are still going back to Mexico.
