Lol this isn't creepy at all...

This deserves to be immortalized if only because I'm SHOCKED it hasn't been edited out for not being politically correct yet:

In one substory, Kiryu jumps to the defense of a woman getting harassed by thugs. Once he gets rid of the thugs, Kiryu realizes the "woman" he saved was a transvestite, who now had the hots for him, much to Kiryu's horror. What comes next is a chase sequence where Kiryu tries to desperately get away from the amorous tranny.

  • Misaimed Fandom: A few fans and many detractors view the series as saying women are lying thieves and should not be believed due to Malty's rape accusations driving the beginning of the plot. This is the same mindset Naofumi goes through, and it's presented as an overly cynical and false one he needs to grow out of.

Where did this troper find this from? Where's the source?
The thing about detractors claiming that's what the show supports is sort-of true, at least - basically, a reviewer from a site called "Anime Feminist" made a post about how their site wasn't going to be reviewing the show because having a plot where a woman makes a false rape allegation and the main character is persecuted because everybody believes her on her word alone is misogynistic. So that part of the example is kind of correct, but I'm pretty sure "Person with strong political opinions throws fit about show that doesn't fit their worldview" probably isn't the intended use for "Misaimed Fandom."

I'm not sure where they're getting the "A few fans" from, unless they're talking about random shitposts from /a/

Unfortunately... Nothing.

Abso-fucking-lutely nothing is funny about anything on TV Tropes; especially if it involves analyzing something clearly too smart and actually funny for them like The Critic actually happens to be, m8.

Also, not getting why it's actually funny to begin with.

Too fucking bad I'm just preaching to the choir, at the moment.

Also, product placement was always rampant, even before the Emoji movie.
Whoever added that in there is full of shit and "muh nostalgia!".
