The examples are even more shallow than usual. Supposedly this is about the trans identity of a character being validated by a higher power, but most of their examples are just them grasping at straws to find proof that their personal fap material is a true and honest troon.

This doesn't surprise me though, this is the website that has tropes like "LGBT Fanbase" of "Popular with Furries", after all.

To be honest 9/11 is the defining event of XXI century America so its pretty much a given that the event will be referencered a lot in some form.Plus most tropers were either very young or teens at the time of the attacks.They grew up in the shadow of 9/11.Now as they're getting older the long term impact of that event is showing its effects.
