Squidward from Spongebob Squarepants used to be listed under the "sociopath" trope:

TL;DR Tropers don't know what sociopathy is. Though to be fair, this is an old edit that has since been removed. Still, the fact that it existed at all...

What IS still on that page, though, is an entry for Patrick based on Mr. Enter's sperging over that one line of dialogue that he had in the episode with the trading card.

The amount of influence and power reviewers have on tropers' lives is genuinely terrifying.

Squidward's not so much a sociopath as a narcissist.

If you take a drink every time a troper references Mr.Enter or TGWTG, you'd be dead within an hour.

The more I'm reading these pages on these two films, it's more obvious that they've been written by one salty atheist.

TVTropes here demonizes Christianity and instead hails Atheism and Islam as the better options.
The funny thing here is that Islam has a lot in common with Christianity and is nothing like Atheism at all.
I guess it's because that Muslims are usually portrayed as POCs?

Yeah i guess that coupled with White Guilt TM and the people nowadays feeling guilt about the Bush invasion in 2001 and such.

And internet atheists have a huge victim complex, they go on and on about how God doesn't exist but the moment a religious person stops their shit they scream about how they're "persecuted". And funny how they always rant about Christians but never other religious folks...

So, can someone tell me why TV Tropes loves MLP and TGWTG like a religion again? I thought both of those died out in popularity a long time ago.

Autists hate change. Plus they seem to be taking to Steven Universe and Gravity Falls rather well.

Since they are related, and since All The Tropes has been around long enough to see if they will be drama magnets of any kind, took a look there.

The worst they have drama-wise on either their Wikia or Miraheze branches is some sperglords arguing over the Complete Monster trope entries, but Geth has a dedicated admin who specializes in that to keep that shit in line, and it seems to be working out so far.

And since TV Tropes still can't separate themselves from jacking off to MLP and TGWTG, looked around to see if that was true on ATT.

Aside from some remnants of sperging they imported (and a fair majority of the most autistic bits were torched off when they tossed a lot of their more stupid shit into a bonfire like the Pantheon crap, though the Wikia branch has some outdated leftovers of that that haven't been touched in awhile), the worst autism they are guilty of is some RWBY sperging, and even that's pretty low key and confined to the pages on RWBY.

Eh, if Geth is involved with All The Tropes, and he seems like a fairly no nonsense person (unless you mention Brianna Wu or Zoe Quinn), I'm not surprised it hasn't turned into a cesspool like TV Tropes has.

I legit would have thought TV Tropes would've started spilling Steven Universe autism all over the place by now, but I guess they're still too hung up on MLP. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing, honestly.

I'm sure there's some if you look hard enough.

Well, they did get caught up in periphery of Atlantid's bullshit when Geth called his ass out on Reddit and Atlantid vandalized ATT in revenge, they have the Complete Monster sperglords (which Geth basically lets the admin DocColress deal with because even he doesn't like dealing with that shit) who raise some hell on occasion and a few have sockpuppeted and edit warred, and Geth has had to deal with some dumbass autists on the Wikia fork on occasion, as well as occasional Nate Spidgewood insanity (TV Tropes and ATT are allies in stopping that skitzocow from giving them both grief) but on the whole they work pretty hard to keep the place as drama free as possible, citing all the stupid shit that TV Tropes does as things to avoid.

Geth founded the Orain (now Miraheze) branch of ATT with two ex-tropers named Brent Laabs and Robert "Bob" Schroeck, who were cast out of TV Tropes for protesting the censorship purge done by Fast Eddie, feeling the purges done in 2012 had fatally compromised the site mission of troping all media.

Brent was tossed out on trumped up bullshit charges of harming their site by doing a site rip of the content with a bot (which is like claiming the same shit Google web crawlers do all the time is dangerous), and Bob was one of the first members way back from 2004 who raised a massive stink about how TV Tropes had sold out and was banished for his trouble (he's an IRL anti-censorship advocate, including being willing to go to court to fight it).

Geth's history is a bit vague. By his own account, he was around back when you could still edit with IPs, but has been very careful to keep his powerword off the internet, and his social media presence is, by his own admission, carefully tailored to make sure that never happens, but he got to know Brent because he took over Wikia's former halfassed ripoff of TV Tropes (there is a post on Geth's blog that explains this in more detail) and started fleshing it out with Brent's site rip, and partnered up with him and Bob to found All The Tropes on the now defunct Orain.

On Orain and later Miraheze, Geth has been very public about his desire to avoid being a dictator (that Legion avatar is basically shorthand for his preference for doing things by consensus), and from the beginning ATT hammered out firm rules to prevent another Fast Eddie from happening. Geth also has tried to keep his personal dramas away from ATT, Atlantid's bullshit and Nate Spidgewood's madness notwithstanding for example.

Fast Eddie hated Geth from day one, and until Drew Schoentrup took over TV Tropes, Geth was basically banished from TV Tropes, and while there were some issues at first, Brent met Drew IRL to break the ice and over time TV Tropes and All The Tropes have formed a gentleman's agreement to keep the peace between them.

If you check Geth's early blog entries on Blogspot, he was pretty bitter and salty over TV Tropes, but he chilled out as time went by and even formally apologized for a lot of his rage (except for the stuff on Fast Eddie, he still considers the man his anti-role model), burying the hatchet around the time Drew took over, and as indicated by Geth when he told Nate to fuck off on /cow/ or he'd call the FBI, he and TV Tropes are firm allies when it comes to dropping the hammer on Nate's crazy shit.

"Mr. Enter hated it, so I hate it too!"
The war-cry of every cartoon sperg.
