One of the things that troonery does offer is a sense of identity, community and belonging, which makes it very appealing to people who need those things*. These are very human things to need and want, but it doesn't mean that you're not your real sex. So they turn to their hugbox for the comforting embrace of reassurance and to silence their doubts for a few hours.
