For people like him, it's a win-win. He gets to act out his exhibitionist autogynephilia, and if someone doesn't go along with it, he can complain about it and hassle people and no matter how badly he acts he's predetermined by political ideology to be considered the victim and not the aggressor.

There's another aspect to it that doesn't seem to have a name. Some men are sexually attracted to the idea of a woman that acts like a man. Taking oestrogen doesn't change the voice at all, which is why pooner detransitioners can't go back to their old voice. Male troons who change their voice are just doing their impression of a female voice, like the guys in Monty Python. I've seen people saying about other incidents with troons getting in altercations things like: "He changed to his male voice to shout", or "He changed to his male voice to be more intimidating". That's not what's happening. They just break character once a stressful situation starts. And some, like that guy, simply don't bother doing an impression to begin with.

There are operations that trans "surgeons" will offer to cut the male vocal cords down a bit. This doesn't change the size of the resonating cavities in the skull, so at best is like putting violin strings on a cello to make a trans-violin. In another post, I found a clip from a vocal coach who clocked a troon with vocal surgery in spite of not knowing it existed at the time. Exulansic had a clip from a troon who was just left with a permanently breathy, but still male, voice.
