Did some research to answer a question about something called the "Old Glory Club." This article came up:

"A nationwide US network of dozens of far-right, men-only fraternal clubs has what members describe as “literally hundreds” of participants who include past and currently serving military personnel, lawyers, civil servants, and prominent antisemitic influencers, a Guardian investigation can reveal.

The Old Glory Club (OGC) – which has at least 26 chapters in 20 US states and until now has drawn little attention – exemplifies the alarming rise of organized racist political groups in the past few years but especially during the rise of Donald Trump and his return to the White House."

The Guardian - Revealed: the far-right, antisemitic men’s club network spreading across US

What they actually sound like:

The Old Glory Club website

I poked around in the 'Farms and found a few references, implying people here are well aware of them, but no real explanation. Apparently they're active in disaster relief. They don't seem to like libertarians or immigrants. Not too partial to Israel either.

But this?

"Heidi Beirich, co-founder and chief strategy officer of the Global Project Against Hate and Extremism, said the OGC “appears to be another major new network of racists, too many of which are springing up in the era of Trump”.

She said the group was “pushing violent ideologies, including race hate and antisemitism and has links to prominent figures on the far right”."

I'm sorry, but they come off more like some paleo-con incels from a wargaming club. Have any of them looted a Walgreens?

She's right about major new networks of racists springing up in the era of Trump, pushing violent ideologies including race hate and anti-Semitism, but they are far more likely to have links to prominent figures on the Left. Am I missing something?

So a slightly spergy men's club with >1000 people in it is enough to draw news coverage? I'm half considering going to the local chapter in my state just to see what kind of people show up.

They seem like an interesting bunch.

Here are the top posts from the Old Glory Club Substack:

The boomer in the second image here is Doug Wilson, pastor of a somewhat large, regional group of churches in North Idaho. Called a cult leader by the locals, he is basically the product of mixing Trump's "say whatever you think and never apologize" with Calvinist theology. It is good to see this group critical of him, because Wilson is a real piece of work. If he keeps gaining notoriety, he might be worthy of a thread of his own. He's been featured with plenty of mainstream rightoid figures including Charlie Kirk, and Tucker Carlson speaks highly of him.

Some of Wilson's greatest hits: When a teenaged girl was raped in his church by a seminary student of his school (powerword Jamin Wight), who was living with her family because of his student residency policies, he blamed the girl's father and broke the family apart. He waited about 10 months to inform the laity of the church about the incident. When she spoke out about it years later, he called her a hussy and a jezebel.

Around the same time that she was being raped, there was another student in Wilson's theological school (powerword Steven Sitler) who was raping children within the church. The guy raped approximately 20 children in Idaho and Washington, before getting caught. He was only convicted of a handful of them though, and served less than 10 years in prison. Wilson personally wrote a letter to the court asking for leniency, saying the guy had truly repented. When Sitler was released from prison, Wilson arranged for him to be introduced to a woman from a 'sister church', and the two were eventually married. At their wedding, Wilson prayed that God would give them a bountiful marriage with many children (a condition of the court allowing the marriage was that they were not to have any children, and Wilson knew this). They did eventually have a child, but because Sitler is a convicted child rapist, there were many restrictions put on his interactions with his kind, such as not being alone with his child, not being able to give his child any gifts, not being able to initiate any physical contact with his child, etc. And his wife was made to supervise him any make sure he followed these conditions. She failed miserably, and he molested their child.

But Wilson's defenders hand wave this shit and say "hes like Trump but a pastor". It is some weird shit. Anyway, good to see that these guys recognize that Wilson is full of shit.

If they have 26 chapters, that's less than 40 angry nerds per chapter. Mostly they complain on YouTube about too many immigrants and too much aid to Israel.
I just don't get it. Must have not carried a one somewhere.

Does help explain why they're so terrified of Kiwi Farms tho.

Nothing about pedophilia and rape in his congregation.

However:

"Wilson's most controversial work is considered to be his pamphlet Southern Slavery, As It Was, which he co-wrote with Christian minister J. Steven Wilkins. In it, Wilkins wrote that "slavery produced in the South a genuine affection between the races that we believe we can say has never existed in any nation before the War or since."
Wikipedia - Douglas Wilson (theologian)

Oops.

So they're Wilsonian Democrats. That explains why they don't get along with John Stossel.

The far-right has the Old Glory Club that promotes patriotism and making our country better.
Liberals have The Old Glory Hole:

Doug also promoted and led that petition of christian nationalists disavowing anti-semitism. Got massive criticism from people on his wing because it’s impossible to be actually christian and at least not theologically anti-semitic due to covenant theology and successionism. Also was very strange to clutch pearls after already being mega canceled. I tend to agree he might get a thread here someday, he has gotten bolder and bolder politically instead of focusing on his own community, he seems to have delusions of being some national figure.

The one amazing thing wilson has done that is likely to have ripples in this country for awhile is his sponsoring the revival of the classical education curriculum. That alone has done so much good and by basic principles sets so many on the right path. Unfortunately as explained in the post above he has failed to protect children in his own congregation. Luckily the classical education curriculum wasn’t born with him, just revived so I think it’s possible to take that and leave Wilson himself, one must certainly already leave his calvinist theology, something ironically the classical curriculum disproves taken to its conclusion.

As far as OGC, the gaurdian article is especially enlightening because it reports it was founded initially to provide support structure to those canceled and harassed by journalists for benign connections. Specifically OGC cites the guy who lost his job for merely donating to kyle rittenhouse… after gaurdian doxxed him. So the gaurdian article seems to obliviously report that it was the guardians own fanaticism that created OGC in the first place. They don’t seem to take any lesson from this in the article. In any case this club seems benign, they won’t even talk about race that explicitly, preferring “heritage americans”. We will see how long it takes for them to fall over backwards for their first billionaire sponsor.

Dave Greene shills them a lot. Nobody really explains what they actually do, but they did some disaster relief for hurricane Helene. The idea of a gentleman's club that filters out undesirables sounds nice, but I get the feeling it's mostly humorless politispergs, who tryna write they substack. Their presentation is really optics oriented, which just makes them seem like zoomers with bowties who wanna start their own D. W. Griffith filmography appreciation club. And when the door finally latches behind them? BOY HOWDY, they're in there bitching about niggers and feemayles and illegals. Imagine all those sweaty bowtie zoomers standing around with no chest hair talking about "How do we increase the birth rate?" And "How do we get foids to settle down with us?" "How can we do an end run around the civil rights act in a housing development?" All decent goals in their own right, but imagine actually taking time on your day off, leaving your house, driving across town, and that's your fucking mannerbund. Fuck dude I'd rather sit around the house with my wife and play historical wargames, and say a racism with her.

Haven't seen Jan Michael Vincent in anything new since Airwolf.

Wonder what the appeal of this particular role was.

Sounds like what folks do here. Without the lolcows and cat pics.

Except every meeting they're like, "Did you read ScipioChuddus' article on Wholesome Chungus Arthurianism?" "Did you watch that livestream where LexCr0mwell debated Alcibiades Groyper over whether it's appropriate to scare the hoes with Spenglerian Jihad discourse?" "Did you see St. B3n1sdictus' tweet about befriending gen x dudes so that you can arrange to marry their 14 year old daughters?" WHAT DID YOU THINK ABOUT IT ANON?

You mean more like these guys?
By the way. This would be four or five chapters of the OGC.

fucking hell

I have an aunt who is 101 years old from moscow ID, she is honestly worried that this doug dude wants to buy her land for cult compound
They are well known for doing this in the region. Members of the church are among the biggest non-ag landowners in the county and often prey upon elderly home & business owners, offering above market value for their land. Wilson has been pretty open about his ambitions to take over as much of the real estate in Moscow as possible so that they can start forcing out non-members of the church, and import members of sister churches from elsewhere. Most of the new housing in Moscow is owned by church members, and it is an open secret that you have to be a member to buy/rent from them.

In a higher functioning rightwing-coded way, yeah. Like "some of the guys heard you call Nick Fuentes a caustic faggot, now we don't like to punch right over here, and like it or not, he does invaluable work by signalling abject extremism and getting young men to make their parents deeply uncomfortable. We're trying to make this a big tent organization here"

I mean jabbering about Tony Cliff and Jacques Derrida and Michel Foucault and Angela Davis and Andrea Dworkin and Derrick Bell and Noam Chomsky and Zohran Mamdani and an army of similar self serving Left fascist faggots talking shit. If what you mean by "higher functioning" is actually raping and castrating children and even mainstreaming the idea, you really impaled that kulak right up the glory hole.

I mean the Left fascists have been taking over Protestant denominations of Christianity, being mostly successful in the urban centers and even the suburbs, so it looks like the survivors have had the shit scared out of them. They've been radicalized and are trying to fight back by copying socialist pig strategies. The Left fascists know how far they got with those strategies, so they're noticeably upset about their natural prey aping their own hostile and brutally successful tactics even on a very small scale.

At least that's what it sounds like.

I knew if I rattled the monkey barrel long enough I'd find the one I needed. Thanks for your input. 🤠
