im shocked that creepypasta still exists in the lords year of 2019.
You can still find videos on Youtube of people reading creepypasta stories from reddit with hundreds of thousands and sometimes millions of views. You can occasionally run across an interesting story in there, but most are almost hilariously bad.

This just makes me sad about how shit /x/ is now. Used to have lots of dumps of legit creepy shit from all over the internet, now it's just faggots LARPing pretending to be wizards and summoning demons.

I remember reading the instructions for One Man Hide-and-Seek on /x/ back in the day and now there are retarded YouTubers making videos about playing the game for tiny children.

The one who I remember very poignantly is a guy called Snuffbomb.

I think this was the first story to drop in this manner but it's a pretty boring read - just some lady I don't know anything about whining about him.
I hate to respond to a five year old post but there is a comment on this journal from one hour ago.

I guess I should be glad that there are still people keeping the m'lk flowing but what.
I don't think so. Though he could have cow material given:

- He allegedly had private erotic rp sessions with 14 year old boys
- Draws furry fetish art (some of it including Sonic.Exe)
- Had a meltdown over his story being deleted
- Unironically believes himself to be some masterclass writer
- Writes shitty creepypastas
Shit, I didn't realize I know this guy, but I've actually posted about him before in the Furry Art Freak Show thread without knowing who he is. He regularly commissions an altfurry artist for macro/micro hyper-ass crushing featuring Scooby Doo and the hyena from The Lion Guard, the Disney Junior soft-reboot of the The Lion King universe.

TBH "creepypasta" is just the latest term for spooky stories/urban legends, so there is always going to be a good audience for them given how that shit has been ubiquitous for.....well pretty much all of human history now that I think about it

I do wish a slightly more dignified term for the genre of independent/amateur horror stories could be found to distinguish them from the more autistic specimens like sanic.exe or jeff the killer, but sadly creepypasta is still pretty much the default term for all of it

I'm not 100% sure if this is the right place to post this (if it isn't, please point me to it and I'll move it, especially since the thread has been dead for almost a year) but it seems like a girl got groomed by imposters of famous creepypasta readers and now some drama is starting.

The video of the interview:

One of the creator's responses:

I saw his response last night, I don't really follow the creepypasta community even though I enjoy the video's. How likely is this?

At the moment, more info is needed. There's a lack of incontrovertible evidence, so anything on either side is hearsay. Keep an eye on it, though.

Not to necro but god, as someone who has spent over a decade in the creepypasta fandom and has brushed up with a few of the big wigs, this thread hurts me.

Haven't kept up to date on a lot of thigs, but:

1. The original creator of the "real" Jane the Killer came out as trans, which is wholly unsurprising given their fascination with women/lesbians. Good to see them live their truth ig, even if Jane was a shit character. Her whole story was based on the idea of the fucking U.S government looking for a way to combat Jeff- you know, the emaciated teenage boy with a steak knife. How threatening. Knew them before they came out- talked to the a few times when I was a wee pup. Their current account is theladyblackwolf. Someone with more time and patience than me could prolly find something worth documenting.

2. Fungalzombie - known orbiter of Snuffbomb (who honestly deserves a thread. Greasy bastard.) who took on work for Creeps after the last artist ditched it. We were pretty chummy for a while, they're still on my steam friend list lmao. They were weirdly sexual with me despite not knowing my age, which wouldn't have been a problem if I hadn't been underage at the time. A lot of talk of shit they were going through, the fact they had herpes, ect. Claimed to have been raped by a 15 year old roommate at one point- pretty sure said roommate is the op of this thread. Outside of their involvement with the creepypasta fandom, FZ is a a scalie. Kind of odd how a rape victim would go out of their way to support a known rapist.

3. Kastoway had a meltdown and demanded people stop making shit surrounding their piss-poor character Ticci Toby because "he's tied to muh trauma". As if they could magically stop an entire community of horny landwhale teenagers from writing shitty fics about a skinny white boy character. Hah.

4. Baptismonfire is having a gender crisis. They're not active in the community anymore.

5. Kiki-Hyuga, creator of Sally, turned out to be a fucking weirdo who would age up Sally - whose story involved being sexually assaulted as a child- in order to draw porn of her with adult characters. Some characters weren't even adults- IE Jeff and Ben Drowned.

Excuse me w h a t ?
I used to watch that guy's content all the time years ago. Never thought he'd be the type to start going troony.
Doesn't look that bad all things considered. solid 7/10 and passes well. Granted I like girls with big noses.
Pic is their current insta pfp.

Speaking of old creepypasta people, I found WHP aka Murphy's TikTok account. It is a gold mine of woke vomit:

Because of how exceptional WHP is, I'm surprised he doesn't have his own thread yet, especially considering both all of this and that he's been outed as a covert sexual predator who has pushed conversations with female fans and collaborators towards sex despite being married with a son.

Speaking of things that possibly inspired Slenderman, meet Cabadath:

d3cnrpl-2cd294f7-5081-4c81-9d75-cb2a29eeb8e7.jpg

His first appearance is in Ben Croshaw's game "Trilby's Notes", released on June 26, 2006.
From Slenderman's Wikipedia page it says he first appeared June 10, 2009 on a Something Awful forum.

Have any of you tried listening to any newer creepypasta readings? Since a lot of these are really just based on nosleep and its clones, they are of course of similarly poor quality to their pasta predecessors but take themselves way more seriously. The most recent stupid trend in these stories is the scary unearthing of X ancient thing, or finding something scary in space. Really, trying to revive old movie cliches but the writers think it will be more grounded. One such example, very poor attempt at a shocking ending.
Internet horror is in a sad state outside of some niches.

Yeah I've noticed a lot of newer creepypastas are just generic horror stories. No sense of disquiet about them or effective exploration of the medium.

Its not totally a lost cause, stuff like the backroom shows potential and stuff like lazy masquarade shows how it's branched into new things. In terms of classic style stuff it's bit thin on the ground.
