i like the people with pride flags and furry OCs as their avatars because it tells me who to immediately mute when i join a game

When I play medic I use that to tell who to not heal. Many fun times "missing" crossbolts that would save their life.

With that being said, another TF2 mod has hit the Steam store. This time, based on the ill-fated infection gamemode.
Left 4 dead/cod zombies but tf2 does seem pretty fun. It makes me realize that tf2 mods doesn't just have to be shitty remakes of tf2 itself.

Anime and lolinigger shit sucks, but it's not TF2 related. So go to prison for derailing the thread, stalker children.

close but not no, in theory it's described as something similar to a pre-BO3 zombies gamemode, and i tried looking into who these guys are and this is what i was able to figure out

even if it's genuine dogshit, this time the sourcemod """"""wiki""""" did give an actual piece of relevant info on who's the supposed lead of this project
  • Mann Versus Zombies, previously referred to as Ficool2's cod zombies by the community, is a Team Fortress 2 Sourcemod aiming to recreate Call Of Duty Zombies inside of the TF2 Source SDK using a fully TF2 themed style. Little was known about this project so far outside of random screenshots and teaser posted by Coolchou Zhao, a member of his mod's team, in the TF2Maps.net Discord until 5/9/26 Breadworks launched their steam page along with an SFM teaser trailer that was uploaded to YouTube and Twitter.
thanks to this bit i was able to find the two steam groups (first) (second) of this "game" which contains only ficool himself as-is, but then it just stops right there and then

after this much it hinges on joining random discords and for that i'm unable to help

e: also on an a semi-related note, i discovered that the sourcemod wiki hosts files of some of the sourcemods it's got, do whatever you want with this info

Twitter created this month. YouTube channel created 12 days ago. Trailer uploaded just yesterday. Empty steam group and yet the Twitter has over 700 followers and there's already a PC Gamer article about the mod.

Haven't checked this thread in a bit simply because people keep shitting it up.
No gameplay, just an SFM? I smell vaporware.
Here's a question: Would you rather have tons of vaporware of actually ambitious ideas, or a bunch of slop mods that amount to "basically just TF2 but...." where most of the time you can do all of it as a server plugin and not some standalone game? I would honestly prefer the former since it doesn't mean the game's mod reputation is shit up by a bunch of fucking retards.

I actually quite like this idea since it's a standalone game and not some janky VScript bullshit that shits up my maps folder when I go and play base TF2.

I never understood how people can just prop shit up immediately and suddenly it has an article when it probably hasn't even started development yet. I get hyping shit up, but this seems highly unusual even for how I'd usually see people hype shit up.

It's all so tiresome. I've had a few threads I keep up with get shit up badly with lolicon kvetching recently. The site has become completely consumed by it to the point of thread enshittification where a single post with the single mention of "loli" made leads to endless discussion of it and retarded debates (chibi designs and anything that isn't mega titties and ass = lolicon o algo). Mind you, I completely understand and I'm not defending loliniggers but this debacle has gotten severely out of hand.
THANK YOU for saying this. The derail on this thread is retarded but I feel like this website has its own variant of "loli derangement syndrome" where just simply saying the word turns everyone into a giant rabid schizo mob that makes mountains out of molehills all the fucking time. I'm not defending loliniggers either but it's all so fucking tiring.

Just had the most agonizingly atrocious game earlier. Opposite team had what was clearly a 6 man party and they were extremely sweaty tryhards. Really good sniper with a vac-med, heavy with a pocket medic and a sticky demo with a pocket medic. I was playing on Upward and we couldn't even get out of spawn. Defenders ended up winning without us being able to capture the first point. Demoman on the defending team ended up with 11 dominations and nearly 200 points. The whole party system is so ass and was clearly only made for competitive.

You can argue it's just a skill issue, but it's almost impossible to stop a dedicated pubstomper 6 man party on casual.

trvke. The party system is antithetical to playing in a server with AND against your friends on relatively even teams

It's just Casual. People would regularly join the other team to fight their friends before the ability to do that got removed.

IMO the party system is probably one of the least offending things about the casual matchmaker, but it has the issue of being "too open". It's not like CSGO/CS2 casual where you're capped at just a few people and also can choose teams, but instead you have this retardedly high friend count where you can essentially "control" the flow of a given casual game because you had a stack of like 6 or so people on one team that actually coordinate and do shit while the other team is just a bunch of randoms or maybe the usual "a guy and his one friend" situation where they all want to do something different.

Even if quickplay is brought back I don't see this as a problem that magically goes away, but the option to join the other team and kill your friends would make this way less of an issue once that option becomes more familiar to the playerbase in such a theoretical case.

Of course it's possible. Re-queue. Who are they going to kill if the entire enemy team dips? There's no shame in taking away a fag stack's fun because it comes at your expense.

some games are just gonna be stomps so then you just find a new one. if at any point during a game you say "this isn't fun at all" then find a new match or just quit playing for a while
