The furry and pony cosmetics added some years ago are to blame for today's influx of troons and faggots. That said, I wonder if there's some difference in tf2 player demographics across regions since I tend to see somewhat less trannies on european servers.
 
There seems to be a terrible trend of LOLSORANDOM bombing regular mod servers out of existence. For example, I'm having a tough time finding an active enough Randomizer server. Not x10, or x100, or x1000. Just plain old Randomizer. No RTD is a borderline utopia, fucking hate that shit.

Aside from the Jump Maps and Uncletopia servers all hosted by one guy nobody ever actually gives back to the community. It's a Free to Play game, nobody wants to put any effort in.

The most popular community servers are 24/7 Hightower and 2fort where people mindlessly death match or treat the server like it's Second Life.

It's never been more over bros.

I'll always play TF2; it remains and will continue to reign as my favorite game of all time. I've been playing for the last 10 years and will continue to do so for another 10 years and I won't let a stinky sex pest ruin my enjoyment of my beloved hat simulator.

I'll make sure that any tranny I come across is 41%'d with a good ol' fashioned CRITICAL HIT!!!

Well yes, TF2 is one of my favorite games and will still be the game I love to play. I just despise the community consisting of trannies and groomers
 
TF2 has always been my go to game to play every Halloween. I just love the maps and atmosphere around the time. koth_harvest_event is still the best Halloween version of a map. It's so simple and not too over the top like every Halloween map is now.

I despise Carnival of Carnage. I hate that the stupid bumper car mini-game decides who wins, not the actual match. I get its contracts out of the way first.

I like the Player Destruction maps, like the Frankenstein one or the pirate one where you go to Davy Jones' Locker. That's a fun game mode.

That's why I love Mann Manor so much, it's a good Attack/Defend map by default (mountain lab) & HHH doesn't bring much autism like Merasmus and Monoculous. The pumpkins are annoying sure, but thankfully not as AIDS as spells. And also it's just a classic.

I used to play all the fucking time but I just got sick of it. Mix of just getting sick of playing the same game for 2000+ hours and the community just being fucking autistic. It felt like when overwatch came out every TF2 sperg felt like they had to insert "DID YOU GUYS KNOW I PLAY TF2????" into every fucking conversation.
 
It's funny, at this point if I want to play TF2 without having to deal with the bot-infested shithole that is casual, I either have to go to the nu-TF2 no-fun-allowed troon-infested shithole that is Uncletopia, or play with ironic (?) pedophiles in Kogasatopia (at least they don't sperg when le nigger word is used). Or I could numb my brain in 24/7 2Fort servers I guess.

I wasn't around before the F2P era, so Quickplay is the most nostalgic time for me, and I miss it dearly.

Sure, if you were in 2007-15 (way before Overwatch's release) where the TF2 community, while they are spergs, they were least soulful. After Overwatch declined in popularity in 2019 or 2020 or so, the TF2 community had grown but so too did the sperging.

The spell minigames disrupt the flow of the game, and Merasmus isn't funny.

Playing Engie on Mann Manor and turtling on the last point gets so intense.

I think it had more to do with the idea that overwatch was meant to be a "TF2 Killer", especially considering that Valve was starting to enter the phase where they just let the game run uninterrupted without any big updates and how many TF2 youtubers were migrating to Overwatch because it made more money and because it was just a fresher experience.

It created this retarded "us against them" mentality where if you EVER touched TF2 you pretty much locked yourself into playing TF2 and if you ever even so much as touched another game you were an evil person who wanted the game to die. I haven't been active in most TF2 circles in years so I'd imagine that attitude has died down and it's now just been replaced with typical fandom sperging.

And anything that's designed or marketed as "X killer" is bound to fail or only to be successful for a little while, but not have on the same exact spark as the original game it's trying to copy. Remember what Sony did with Killzone as they were trying to compete against Microsoft's Halo series, and look how that turned out.

At this point hearing the Halloween music puts me on edge due to how much I hate nu-Scream Fortress. I haven't enjoyed Halloween game modes once in the past 3-4 years because of how fucked the bot situation is and due to garbage like Wutville that Valve's matchmaking insists on putting me into. I hope it's over soon.
 
The new zombie infection gamemode is kinda fun, too bad it attracts screeching autists, but thats honestly just Halloween in general.
Its also ,to no surprise, pretty buggy. Using the dead ringer as spy and dying last will glitch out the mode and piss off everyone, which is pretty funny tbh.
