I don't know what percent disabled he is, and seeing how he has never had a proper psych evaluation, it's likely that his pension is nonexistent, and he could be making it up so people take pity on him.

That makes sense, because he doesn't look or act physically disabled, but he's pretty obviously mentally fucked up beyond all belief, so any VA disability would have to be based on that. Usually anyone who tries, and is as obviously fucked up as he is, can get some percentage if they can argue it's somehow service connected.

I'd advise he try if he hasn't already.

There's some guy called "pony fanatic" trying to "help" with getting to Equestria. Here's one of his posts:

Chemical and Elemental Reactions

Hello, I'm Pony Fanatic, I have a PhD in chemistry and I've studied it for years, and I've researching and experimenting theories on how to get to Equestria.
>>>He should have called this thread 'How to destroy your credibility as a scientist in one paragraph.'
My theory is that through the means of a elemental or chemical reaction a portal to Equestria can open or appear.
>>>A 'theory' is a coherent group of tested general propositions. It's not a 'theory' if you just wish it would happen. Anyone with a PhD should know this... but perhaps I'm getting ahead of myself. Go on, Pony Fanatic, give us some evidence.
My reasoning is that through my studies I've discovered chemical and elemental reactions have created anomalies, such as the nuclear bomb, the reason behind such events is the atoms and molecules of the elements or chemicals.
>>>The nuclear bomb is not a good example of an 'anomaly' because it's not an anomaly. We know how it works because we've built explosives which trigger a nuclear reaction. You said it yourself; the reason behind such reactions have to do with the way the atoms interact. Perhaps I'm reading too deeply into your post, though. After all, I don't know where you're from, and maybe some sort of language barrier is preventing you from coming across the way you desire. Okay, so, you brought up the nuclear bomb as an 'example,' I'll call it. What are you going to do with that in mind? What is your next course of action?
Because of this I have begun testing different reactions, the elements I am currently studying are Lithium, Rubidium, Cesium, and Francium, these elements are of interest to me due they're atomic structure and number of valence electrons. The reactions with these elements have shown promise as the reaction is explosive, my theory is that enough energy must be created at the same time in order to create the portal.
>>>...Sorry, what? The reactions which show 'promise' are explosive? So, from what I can gather, the most promising reactions are the ones which cause the largest explosions. ...No. Why? Again with the 'theory.' You do know the science you've been listening to in Dexter's Lab isn't real science, right? And that it's not a credible source of knowledge on which to base your 'theories,' right? And, no portals have ever resulted from a nuclear bomb... so how do you expect to open a portal with much lesser explosive reactions? Barring that, even if you do somehow manage to open a portal using explosives as though they can somehow tear a rift through space and time, how do you know it'll be to Equestria? How does any of this make even the slightest scintilla of sense??
The energy released by the reactions isn't nearly enough but it is enough, I've begun testing with basic acids and alkalines, however since the energy produced is not enough, I plan on moving to stronger acids and alkalines.
>>>The energy released isn't enough, but it also is enough. What? Good God, why is this person allowed to experiment with dangerous chemicals, let alone possess them? If he's not just making this up. He's going to kill himself or fill his lungs with so much toxin that he hallucinates and believes he actually went to Equestria before he actually goes to Equestria.
Current results with low level acid-
Lithium- Lights on fire for short period of time and explodes, smallest explosive energy, orange flame shows low heat energy

Rubidium- Explodes as soon as it enters acid, blast radius is around 2 feet however, low energy is released

Cesium- Lit on fire with contact with acid, had a blue flame, stayed lit for about 10 seconds then exploded with a 4 1/2 blast radius, promising result however not even close to energy required different acids may lead to larger energy release

Francium- Most promising, exploded upon contact with acid and had a blast radius of 7 feet, flames given off were blue indicating high energy release, stronger acids may let it create enough mass for the portal.

I will update my findings as I continue the experiments
>>>Nope. I'm done. Goodbye.

Needless to say, this is dangerous and delusional at once and should not be condoned or encouraged by those involved. Or anyone, for that matter.

By "Scientist" does he mean "dude who cooks meth in his moms basement"?

I would really love to meet this guy. If this causes some sort of pony related terrorist attack I'm going to die laughing

Don't worry, guy, he's got his head on straight. See, Celestia spoke to him in a vision and told him that if he blew up ALL the things, she would see to it personally that he had a harem of attractive magical cartoon ponies waiting for him when he ascended to Equestria. How can any red-blooded man turn down an offer like that?

The part about francium gives it away as an elaborate troll.

Really? How so? I don't know much about chemistry.

Also, on a related note, I found out that several members on MLW are actually just trolls. I won't name them because they're going to get banned otherwise, but... yeah, lol.

Good catch.

Outside the laboratory, francium is extremely rare, with trace amounts found in uranium and thorium ores, where the isotope francium-223 continually forms and decays. As little as 20–30 g (one ounce) exists at any given time throughout the Earth's crust; the other isotopes (except for francium-221) are entirely synthetic. The largest amount produced in the laboratory was a cluster of more than 300,000 atoms.

You guys are probably right, but on the other hand it's entirely possible that this dude doesn't even know what he actually has. I mean, he is trying to make a portal to the neon horse dimension through explosions.

The chances that it's real are slim, I'd say. I mean, how readily available are dangerous substances prone to spontaneously exploding for wasteful purposes?

You can buy most of these highly volatile substances online, or through suppliers. It'll draw a lot of attention to you, and it costs a lot of money, but you can.

Except Francium. That shit pretty much doesn't exist in a useable form.

Pretty much readily available. Like nitrogen triiodide, that explodes if you look at it. You can't exactly just buy it because it can't easily be stored, but it's easy enough to synthesize. If you sprinkle motes of this on the floor and a cockroach steps across it, it explodes and leaves a neat little scorch mark.

In the UK it's a little harder but as other have said you can buy this stuff, the seller might only sell small quantities an not have to report but if you buy stuff online an have it shipped to the same address people will find out.

A good related example was a news story 5+ years ago about a guy buying excessive amounts of fire alarms for some of the more exotic elements used in there construction.

I didn't know of anyone who tried making a weapon, that's scary more than one person who read "my first nuke" and went to town.

Sorry you posted as I was typing, Him as well the guy I am think of was deliberately doing it for a weapon.

David Hahn? He wasn't trying to make a weapon, just a reactor. He's not a terrorist, just an unusually passionate chemist. Last I heard, he's trying to invent a lightbulb that can shine for 100 years using irradiated paint.

Also, how the hell did we make it from Taxman to homemade nukes?

Taxman just uploaded some videos from bronycon, nothing too noteworthy besides the cringe and crippling autism.

All I want to know is where the fuck this batshit asshole gets all this money for all that expensive shit he's drinking? I doubt he has a job.
