I'm just going to state that I dislike and disagree with the concept of the "sins of the father" shit and end it here.Alright, I get that.
But read above: what do you do when these children (which must exist since Orcs reproduce sexually) are the sons and daughters of murderers, rapists and pillagers? What do you do when the infants are going to grow to be violent, aggressive and dim (and yes, I'm using the original statblock from Volo's fuck that "proud and noble" bullshit they're pushing now) and not really fit into civilized society? If you spare them but kill their parents and burn their tents, they're going to be dead from starvation or exposure anyway. Which is not an argument for killing them, mind you, but it's one of those situations where it's impossible to retain a Good alignment and get anything done if you go by these rules.
I'm arguing this point simply out of principle, by the way. In my groups we just do a fade to black and don't think about the orphans we left behind. But if the threat is sentient and irredeemably Evil-with-a-capital-E (like the gnolls I mentioned earlier) then often the quest is to kill them all, to the last, and throw them all into a funeral pyre.
Which wasn't what I was talking about (we're not punishing the children but they are going to end up without parents regardless), but it's fine. Let's move on.I'm just going to state that I dislike and disagree with the concept of the "sins of the father" shit and end it here.
So anyways, any good systems for if you want to play robots punching each other? Because right now I'm using Cyberpunk 2020 for the template.
No I don't mean like mecha, I mean you are the robot itself punching the other robot. It's because of my cursed idea for a Mega Man X game where you are archaeologists digging through the pre-nonspecifiedapocalypses' trash.Robots punching each other, er... would you believe me if I said I've played GURPS Mecha back in the day? It was fun, but I'm not sure I'd recommend it to anyone without a TI-84 calculator. Or a certified autism diagnosis.
Are these full robots (or brain-in-jar cyborgs), or flesh-and-blood people with some chrome added? I asked because if everybody is a robot, you can assume "robot" is the baseline and just use any system that allows for a lot of character customization on top of it. Mutants & Masterminds, maybe? No I don't mean like mecha, I mean you are the robot itself punching the other robot. Genesys works if you can get past the DRM dice.I'm just going to state that I dislike and disagree with the concept of the "sins of the father" shit and end it here.

It's based on Mega Man X, so there's Reploids (think of them as replicants with free will and weapons systems and specialized roles), Mechaniloids (dumb AI robots that don't have free will), and there's still baseline humans. Are these full robots (or brain-in-jar cyborgs), or flesh-and-blood people with some chrome added? Right. I haven't played a Mega Man game since X4 and I couldn't remember if there were still humans in the setting. That makes things a little more complicated, assuming you're going for mixed reploid and human groups. If the PCs are all reploids, it should be pretty easy to come up with special rules for human NPCs.It's based on Mega Man X, so there's Reploids (think of them as replicants with free will and weapons systems and specialized roles), Mechaniloids (dumb AI robots that don't have free will), and there's still baseline humans.
Really? Which edition did you play? I haven't played a lot of M&M but I know they changed a lot between 1st and 2nd edition, and I don't remember much more than just 3.5e-style bonuses and penalties back when I played. Did a new edition come out recently?Mutants and masterminds was mainly rejected because I wasn't a fan of its calculation systems. Basically I noped when I had to do multi-step calculations when all I wanted to do was throw a car.
That might be what I do. Since as of right now I'm just creating an Empathy Buffer in Cyberpunk where cyberware doesn't fuck with your humanity score until X amount is spent.Right. For the 5E Ravenloft campaign I had the characters be representatives of a "good" religious order, who had heard of diabolic activity in a faraway province. The remoteness of Strahd's castle served the purpose of the "mists", which I never personally liked. Along the way they met a thief and forced him into service. You know, Im thinking now. I hear everyone talk about all-evil campaigns, but I never hear anyone talk about all-good campaigns. I really want to run or play in something similar to the ideas presented in Exalted Deeds, where the players are going around the (small) continent fighting the most vile people and monsters because its the right thing to do, where the heroes’ deeds bring hope and peace wherever they go, and where the heroes will eventually martyr themselves to stop a grave evil when the end of the campaign comes. How would I run such a campaign?
How long until they pull a white wolf and print that on one of their books? The way things are going Wizards doesn't even want your money, shitlord alt-right racist gamergirlbathsalts. #d&disforeveryone
disagreeskub
Probably when sales collapse for 5e books and/or if the future 6e they'll make does like shit. How long until they pull a white wolf and print that on one of their books?
So the Cyberpunk Red April's Fools Addition was hilarious, and we started using it in our game.
They actually do. But mostly 1 on 1 and with other women writers. Mostly not dudes.Actually, do women ever erp like guys do? Every horny That Guy story is always a guy.
HOLY SHIT. I know this game! I fucking played it for laughs. It's run by a weirdo named Neato and it his and a troon named Tiffany's homebrew. The lore and expansion of it grows!Speaking of WoD, here's an absolutely amazing character sheet an anon on /tg/ uploaded. Context was: "It was a sincerely put forth character from a girl that wanted to play for the first time. Her boyfriend coached her on the wod lore, but she insisted on doing the character herself as a surprise so he won't know her backstory. She was upset when the character was rejected, but I had to keep the character sheet." I've never played, but is uh... the sex rating section a normal part of these character sheets?
