I've been musing on making a Blue Mage class for DnD, since their Blue Magic list is big enough for a spell list.

I'm thinking the "Level X" spells work based on the Target's Charisma stat for example, since Monsters often use that for their own save or suck abilities.

Also Frog Drop is just a goofy untyped damage attack where you fuddywhacker a target with a bag of frogs.

I might make this at some point for fun.

As cool as those are, I'd rather just throw them in my Crown Royal Honey bag and not have to worry about charging them.
It's a nice idea to have bluetooth on them so if you play on Role20, Twitch, or a similar site you can have real dice being rolled. I doubt I'd ever have them charged though. I can't even be bothered to charge my phone.

We've been talking about those at our table since they were first announced last year, and if a full set weren't $200 we'd probably be buying a few sets.

As it is I may spend the $40 to get a d20.
There was another Kickstarter for d6's back in 2019 if I recall. Didn't have RGB but could connect to sites thanks to bluetooth.

Had our first near ERP mishap on the Westmarch I’m apart of. Had to pull the lone girl of our group aside and get real with her for a second because a bunch of the other players were being creepy neckbeards.

Actually, do women ever erp like guys do? Every horny That Guy story is always a guy.
She PM’d me after I got onto her about it and was all like ‘I’m not actually perverted and think stuff like that’ or something, but yeah apparently they do because she’s the one who instigated it from what I can tell. Long story short she was accusing an NPC of masterbating while watching people sleep.
Edit: can confirm it’s a girl.

Do not ever try a World of Darkness game with anyone younger than 25yrs old.
Do not ever do an online RPG session of World of Darkness.

Troons have infested Vampire.
Furries have taken over Werewolf (fuck you before you say it, 1st edition didn't have the gay shit)
Mage is still cool sometimes because it's a little more out of the box. But you get a lot of "akctually" reddit folks now.
No one likes Hunter, and it can be a little 'problematic' so its safe, and no one ever wanted to play it.

Fuck it, I'll just go back to reading my books, and hoping I can find some normal people to play Deadlands with.

I never saw that in my tabletop groups, but if World of Warcraft is any indication they 100% do. I was in a Roleplaying server (no, it wasn't Moon Guard) and some of the biggest horndogs in the guild were the 30-something women hogging most of the healer spots. Lots of male gay characters, of course. And yes, I'm sure they were women. For one, this was before the plague of troons. For two, I went to the guild meets and they were there. One of them legit made the best potato salad I've ever had in my life.

That's the unfortunate truth of more narrative-focused games. In D&D, you can often get by simply not saying much and rolling dice. If you just want to wreck face, you can have fun even with the insufferable, sanctimonious fuckwads infesting the community. But for something like World of Darkness? I would up that minimum age to 30 at least.

I never thought I'd miss the edgy teens of the late 00's, but compared to the current crop of genderspecial dangerhairs the droves of katana-wielding, trenchcoat-and-sunglasses-at-night-wearing, Blade-wannabes of yore feel fucking nostalgic now.

Furries have been a big part of werewolf since the late 90’s don’t kid yourself.

The best way to handle the danger hairs in modern chronicles is simply not to hold their hands. And apply the consequences of their actions to them. Give them fair warning. The primogen of their clan probably doesn’t give a shit about them being gay or black or trans or whatever. They’re humanity 4 and at that point the straightest vampire when alive will suck dick or eat pussy no matter their sex if it means getting food. You don’t get special treatment. If the other neonates don’t like you because you’re constantly talking about gender politics or whatever, join the Carthians. You will rub shoulders with skinheads, fascists, commies, anarcho capitalists, neofeudalists and more. And they won’t give a fuck most likely about what you have to say if you can’t produce for the Movement. Vampire society gives you what you put into it. The Carthians might be a bit of a commune, but they don’t tolerate slackers among them.

How common is ERP or fetishes in RPGs?

A trend I've noticed is that furries will always play anthro races, if available. Women playing games with vampires in them is another trend.

I don't want to be too much of an armchair psychologist, but I can't help but notice patterns in player characters and DM adventures following similar themes. I assumed it was me reading too much into it, but now I have my doubts.

I had a woman who wanted to rape everything in a normal game so I don't see why they wouldn't do it in ERP's. Also, there was a ton of them back when Myspace was a thing.
It might be because I’m a guy, but man, I wish there were more coomer women out there. Nowadays its more common to see women reject sex utterly.

I like Hunter!

...The NWOD version....
I've been meaning to check out nwod hunter.

owod hunter is probably one of my favorite settings. The splat books have some of the best writing/storytelling in them. Too bad they made the fatal owod mistake and "explained the big question": the messengers.

That point when a normal person crosses over into an unknown world of mystery, ala matrix, has always got me going.

They're a lot more normal than OWOD even at T3. Most of the mysteries are either in the other books, not explained, or left up to the Storyteller (Like who and what the Lucifigue is and if Valk is getting vampire funding). While individual factions can have patrons like the messengers (and at that mostly at T3), most if the time the mystery you're trying to figure out is "How do I kill this thing?"

T1 is "You're just killing monsters with your buddies"
T2 is "You're fighting monsters with your monster fighting club"
T3 is "You're fighting monsters with your monster fighting club and lightning gun"

nHunter has a lot of fun at all tiers of play. You can play a pretty good Scooby Doo Gang style game with Network Zero, or go full 'The Boys' with Chieron and Task Force Valkyrie.
