Basically, if you guys had to design a Garou-hunting NPC, which of the following would you give him? Like, if you guys really wanted to make a Hunter character who specialized in tracking down and killing werewolves, what kind of weapon do you think would fit the best?
Well, when you're talking a personal weapon for dealing with a blood-crazed berserker intent on mass destruction, let's ask the South Africans what weapons they've come up with for their own similar situations.
1.
Denel NTW-20. Comes in two versions: a smaller one that can load either Russian 14.5x114mm or German 20x82mm
minengeschoss, and a larger one in just 20x110mm only, but that's the same round as the Hispano cannons use, so has everything from AP to SAPHEI to HEI. Lots of options for both size, but the obvious downside is the cops are
really not going to like such a weapon, never mind the grimdark ATF in the World of Darkness that are even less humorless than the actual ones.
2.
NeoStead 2000. Very similar to the
Kel-Tec KSG, and actually predates it, but IMO it has the much cooler loading system with the tubes over the barrel so you can pop them up and out and reload that way. 12 rounds, lightweight, easy to handle, and you can load the twin tubes with a mix of loads and have it alternate. Naturally, since its old and not many were made, have a Gun Jesus video about it.
And in case you were wondering what he looks like, a
based Cypriot Greek.
Also came up with a 20mm grenade rifle.
6 rounds of proprietary 20x42 ammo, good against Garou, and also a very good reason for the ATF to go Waco on your house.
For an alternate grenade launcher, the
China Lake, for something a bit lighter and easier to handle than the M32.
Drive away from the wolves while firing at them from a distance.
Yeah, a pintle .50 is your best option there, especially if you use some sort of HE or incendiary load.
Okay, gotta add
one more thing.
The
Atchisson AA-12. 12 gauge, big-ass drum mag, full auto and very little recoil.
