Wizards has shown time and again that they hate their target audience, which is mostly nerdy guys who play D&D with their friends. They really, really want the Steven Universe and Nu-She-Ra fanbase. The special snowflake danger hairs and pervert troons who make every character be a Mary-Sue self insert (or a outlet for their degenerate fetish) and have D&D be a substitute for much needed therapy and psychiatric help. However, with how bad the economy is right now in the states and the West in general, I wouldn't be trying to drive away the majority nerdy male gamers. A lot of people are not going to be able to buy luxury items as much anymore as they did during the beginning of COVID. D&D campaign books and manuals are, at least what I consider and most others consider, a luxury item. Most people who still are interest in 5e are either going to buy pdf's (as they are cheaper), buy second hand or pirate. Meanwhile, the danger hair and troon crowd from Twitter and Tumblr will not be able to support them as they are both so few and also don't have any money, even before the economy went to the shitter. I expect Wizards profits to begin to go in the decline this year with it only getting worse as the years drag on.
