As an outsider who tried covering the smash community, I thought it made for a bit of food for thought. You don't have to agree with what he's saying just because he's not some massive creator or is directly a part of that community.

I mostly agree with Emp. The style's wack,but the substance is good. People are too quick to bandwagon on "haha schizo hehehehe" rather than looking at what Hax was trying to say,forming their own opinions,then discussing it. Short attention spans and disregard of dry content is just a result of the modern era,so i can't really fault outsiders to the smash scene just ignoring everything and laughing at both sides. Could Hax$ have shortened the video significantly and cut the "muh anime" and "muh psychopathy!!" so that general audiences could stomach it down and come out semi-educated on Leffen and why he's a scumbag? Yes. But him going full hyper-autism mode is funnier,so honestly,who cares. Now give me my puzzle pieces.

So you're saying that unlike when presenting to the normies, there's no need to cut back on the psychopathic elements of his rant for the hardcore Smash brothers community? This explains much.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not for or against either player. I'm simply of the mind that both these twits, like any members of the Smash Bros community need euthanasia. It's the general normie view.

The other important thing was that Ian wasn't a deranged lunatic back when he was making Content Cops.

Also, people aren't dipping out after five minutes because he's "initiat[ing] the argument with such an esoteric subject matter," it's because he's being melodramatic and literally comparing some asshole in the community to people like Hitler and Stalin. I dipped out because he started talking about totalitarianism in a community for a fucking video game.

I think the opposite happened.

There do seem to be glimpses of Leffen being an egotistical dick who siccs his fans on people he dislikes and there could be merit to leffen deliberately scheduling shit to interfere with hax, or leffen shitting on the controller hax sells cuz leffen doesn't like him, and people woulda listened if Hax said that in a calm, collected, rational way.

However, Hax was so grandiose and so over the top that the video is no longer about leffen, but about hax being nearly schizophrenic.

If hax just said "here's what leffen does, i think he's a dick and is hurting the smash community, here's the evidence" people woulda listened. Instead he said "leffen is hitler stalin with a dictatorial cult of personality and his red nike shirt proves he has the dark tetrad" and he looks insane.

Faggots talking about how good they are with a fighting game that came out over a decade ago and somehow riding the coattails of that accomplishment.

Also, all these sweaty weirdos seem to like fucking around with kids too much.

There is a reason why Nintendo will not actively promote shit, cause it knows the community is a fucking black hole of pure autism that will crush anything in it's wake.
