I am not too big into fightan' games these days but i used to play my fair share back around the early KoF days, plus a lot of Soul Calibur, the couple of times i played Smash i just found it extremely unenjoyable, babby's first inputs paired with the platforming is really not my cup of tea. Maybe I'm just "not high IQ enough" to understand competitive Smash (just like how you have to have a "high IQ to understand Rick and Morty"). But I only enjoy playing it as a filthy casual against other filthy casuals with items on and on the Switch version. I never have a good time against tryhards that actually play comp Smash and insist on using no items. It's a fun party game and that's how I treat it, especially if I'm playing it while drunk at a party. Just like how I play Mario Kart.

Some of the professionals had been playing this game for decades and it was their main or only source of income. Look what they did to HAX and he didn't even curbstomp any trannies.
