Warning: Spergy Infodump incoming
Actual, legitimate criticisms of Leffen that Hax made:
* Leffen was rude, immature and callous as a teenager
* Leffen tries to foster a better public image but still has many of the negative qualities he had back then
* Leffen starts trouble and conflict in communities and friend groups out of spite or pettiness
* Because of a completely petty, juvenile internet arguement (that, to be fair, was mostly instigated by Hax) Leffen tried to screw up Hax's plans to get the competitive tournament scene not to accept Hax's special controller.
* Leffen complained about an unflattering but arguably accurate portrayal in a documentary and the director changed it not because it wasn't true, but because Leffen and his fans were complaining
* Leffen's fanbase acts toxic and stupidly and Leffen does very little to try to discourage this
* Leffen tends to act manipulatively as a way of conflict resolution and that isn't acceptable at all
Claims/Concepts that aren't legitimate and make Hax look delusional:
* Leffen's bad behaviour cannot be atrributed to mere immaturity or pettiness, but can only be explained by deep-rooted psychological or personality disorders
* Despite having no background in psychology or medicine, Hax is able to determine that Leffen is actually has a personality disorder somewhere on the "Dark Tetrad" spectrum
* Browsing multiple Wikipedia articles and watching anime is anywhere near enough research to make one an expert in psychology or understand complex psychological concepts
* Using catastrophic and dramatic language is appropriate for situations as small and childish as this
* It is at all reasonable to compare someone to dictators or anime villains because you've had disagreements with them online
* Because Leffen has fans and relationships with torunmanet organizers, he is in total control of the Smash community and oppresses the people in it
* Leffen, by controling the Smash community, is turning it into a Dystopian society that will soon have no way of recovering
* Leffen is similar to Hitler, Stalin, Donald Trump and multiple anime villains
* Leffen directly tried to manipulate and spite Hax by wearing certain colored pants
* Blocking people on Twitter for bothering you should be illegal
* Blocking people on Twitter is a powerful tool of manipulation that makes people feel isolated and silenced
* Mobbing people on Twitter with tons of angry, critical comments is a good communication tool or at all constructive to conflict resolution, and not being able to do it is somehow psychological abuse
* Giving a subjective opinion that people should be allowed to add their own bindings to a custom controller was a secret plan to ruin it and destroy his whole business franchise
* The difference in preference between R and Z cancelling is worth fifty minutes of discussion and isn't actually a difference in opinion but an evil, psychologically manipulative lie to control people like zombies
* Having a bad experience on a personal discord where someone's sycophantic fans argue in their favor is at all a reasonable excuse to quit the entire Smash Brothers scene and that Leffen is somehow comparable to Donald Trump for also having idiot fans
* Grabbing your employee by the shoulders and shaking him violently while screaming in his face is at all a reasonable reaction to learning that he sent someone you don't like a product that they paid for
* Running up to a person and screaming at them in public is at all a valuable or constructive form of conflict resolution
* It is at all acceptable to chase a person and yell at them when they don't want to talk to you
* It is at all acceptable to hit someone in the face for moving their chair back too far on an airplane
* A director removing unflattering parts of a documentary to stop someone from complaining somehow turns their movie into evil propaganda
* A movie that sends a message you don't like should be made illegal
* Hax, in his words, "betraying" his own friends and violating their privacy, potentially making them targets for harassment, was all somehow a worthy sacrifice to stop Leffen and did anything productive or gave anyone information that was at all necessary.
* Leffen starting a tournament on a day close to Hax's tournament is evil and manipulative, but Hax actively and admittedly manipulating Leffen and others by advertising a fake tournament isn't
* The director who has remain neutral and polite with both parties is in any way the villain or at fault and should be labeled a propagandist
* The basic principle of Freedom of Speech should be secondary to preventing harm caused by controlling people. Or in other words, the only way to stop controlling tyrants is by acting controlling and tyranical.
* There was any information in the video that was important enough to warrant a two-hour video, or even a single hour, or anything beyond a few minutes
As you can see, for every good point Hax had, he made nearly a dozen bad ones. That's why this blew up in his face so badly, and that's why people are reactively taking Leffen's side.
