So looking at jails in LA, even if he got the full 6 months and not a downward departure, he would only spend 85% of that in the clink. So 5 months 3-4 days. That's certainly more time than I would want to spend in jail, but there's probably programs available, or ways to get out of county jail. For example Goodwill contracts direct thru the sheriff's office (probably wearhouse work) so even if he was in county lockup, he'd still spend 8+ hours a day not in jail. Aside from the shitty jail food, and uncomfortable bunk, that's basically the normies life. He would get out in 5 months 3-4 days and have a nice little reserve of passive income to go on a bender a chunk of change in his account that he would be ablessing to resettle and get his shit sorted. He could arrange for the bank to transfer a percentage to Liz, to pay for Tarlette.

Hell, after a week or two he could probably be smuggling contraband into the jail (that's extremely common with these work programs) and stacking commissary as a side hustle.

Rehabs can be pretty cagey about their patients and LEOs are often reluctant to go grab someone out of a rehab. If it happens it will probably be because of the more serious felony he's charged with.

I think it really depends on how traumatizing that stint in the NOLA jail was for him. I know he was deteriorating before that, but to my mind that's when he took a noticeable dive. It might have been worse than anyone knows. That said, I doubt he goes to Canada. At this point I doubt he'd get himself to a rehab without his mother pinning his mittens to his sleeves and petting his head as she escorts him to the bus, and even then he might bail out on rehab in favor of a liquor store along the way.

You are a low level wagie at a shitty store. They might want you, because you're a good worker, but trust me, they do NOT need you. The moment they decide that the convenience of having you around is not worth the inconvenience that comes with having you around, they will kick you to the curb. If you were smart, you would be spotting and writing down other places in town where you could quickly apply for a job in case you lose your current one, instead of relying on your delusion of invincibility.

You might be surprised, especially when you talk second and third generation money. There's a lot of overpaid middle management who can maintain and out of state hoe, because they make good money in NYC. she might not be a high value person herself, but it's not impossible that she is taken care of, in a way 6 Figure Styx wouldn't understand.
