I think it comes down to a difference in mindset. I approach games with the plan of playing an interesting character rather than someone who is an extension of myself. Hence, being a female character doesn't really bother me, but I can see how somebody who doesn't take that perspective might feel different.
Marvel has done irreparable damage to the entertainment industry.
I think that's more Whedon:ism. Buffy the TV series is 25 years old now and it feels like woke people aping 25 year old pop culture. Or, like a youtube said about another thing "written for twitter or by twitter."
It absolutely is Whedon but Marvel is just Whedon quips applied to a entire extended universe. He directed Avengers after all.
I think Marvel recovered well(from what I've seen) but games are hacks that couldn't even hack it as hacks for hack writing jobs. Seriously, big names in games writing seems to be people that took 9 months to write a trilogy of Extended Universe Star Wars novel to mild success within an extremely limited audience, that's a big name, they're the AAA along with diversity hires that couldn't even do that. All of gaming is a @wry wrangler fever dream.
I think it's moreso they saw Microsoft have success releasing all their stuff on PC, and had minimal effect on their console userbase and sales. But they're still timid, and since their focus is on PlayStation, they don't release them right away on PC. Similar to putting 1st party games on PSNow, but not right away like with Gamepass. (Also because Jim Ryan isn't consumer friendly, but that goes without saying).
I'd pay $70 for a Fallout: New Vegas sequel and/or remaster

Day 1 pirate, easily and i bought every single Fallout game at release except 4 and that PS2 shooter, my favourite game series next to Yakuza. I deliberatly switched back to PC because of piracy after almost a decade on consoles, fuck paying money.

That's pretty much what I was talking about, the back catalog. The old games might just be on engines that aren't port-friendly. But the other stuff I believe is true, console hardware loses money anyway, so it's not like they're really losing much by putting their games on a platform whose users wouldn't buy a PS5 anyway.

I found out about Bulletstorm from the bargain bin. Very fun game.
I'd pay nothing as it'd be on Gamepass. Honestly one of the better deterrents to PC piracy and the stupid price increases of some games this gen. If you give gamers a good product/service with minimal bullshit, they won't pirate as much. Or the ability to actually buy them in Nintendo's case.
People who are simultaneously afraid of numbers and yet are totally okay with numbers popping out of enemies as they get shot.
