When this comes out someone needs to torrent it so we can do a kiwi double feature with the mario bros movie.
 
I sort of want this to be good. I like Sonic (1,2,3 &Knuckles, Chaotix and CD at a push, anything since then can fuck itself). It wont channel 90's Sonic though, it'll be post millenium Sonic with all the pointless bullshit that comes with it. Ah well, can't be worse than fuckin' Angry Birds is gonna be.
 
Literally what sort of movie is this?

I mean I get that since Lego movie the concept of toys and video games getting films has been somewhat revitalised but everything I've heard about this just seems to be insane, even moreso than the ridiculous stuff about Mario and the other 'franchises' that had one movie, flopped and then was never spoken of again.

The mental casting, length this has taken to get together and the fact that Sanic is literally more than ten years past it's peak means this'll most likely be a big budget hilarious, so bad it's good flop, or it'll end up as vaporware.
