I think the sale will go through as long as Jeff does all the legwork and there isn't a crazy financial situation that would stop him from buying SA. SA in its current state is worth almost zero with Lowtax in charge and he wants to get whatever he can so he can buy some toys and drugs before being evicted, having his cars repo'd, hopping on SSDI, and moving in with mom.

Lowtax could try to turn things around and save SA while making a decent living off it again. The problem is that would take effort, patience, and delayed gratification. He's more allergic to those than he is painkillers which he absolutely hates!

I'm almost certain he's just stalling to avoid turning it over in the hopes he gets to keep it because goons have the attention span of amoebas.

That ship already sailed. Even though the whiners are still posting and planning to make forums purchases, I doubt that the Patreon will get a significant level of support again, no matter what any owner does in an attempt to satisfy the Karens.

With lowtax the as owner SA is only worth whatever amount of people forget they're giving him money on patreon.

If lowtax really wanted to try to make money off SA again his only shot would be making forum registration free and putting ads up and one of those annoying "please disable your ad blocker" popups.

I also think it's near certain, Lowtax is a classic addict and has been showen to always take the path of least resistance in addition to clearly hating the very concept of "labor". There's no doubt that his autistic jannies were constantly blowing up every avenue they knew of in order to reach him, so Lowtax agreeing to sell the forums was propable a just stall tactic so they would shut up and he could crash back into a booze and cookie coma. Now that he's had a few days to ponder what having to work 9-5 in a toll both would entail, I'm sure that he's getting dear mommy to gum up the works and make the terms of sale untenable.
The only way I can see the forums actually getting sold is if Jeffery agrees to funnel at least 80% of the profits to Lowtax in perpituity, and goons have shown that they will Ree very loudly if that's the case.


For the record (and I this would probably fit better in the Lowtax thread, but whatever), considering they are both horrific train wrecks with no concept of proper boundries I think there's a nonzero chance that Lowtax and Bogan get back together

If they do there's a pretty high chance of a murder-suicide.
 
One thing I can see delaying, if not outright killing, the sale is the financial statements.

If you were planning to sell a business you would make sure you had these available, but Lowtax wasn't planning to sell SA and I doubt that up to date financial statements exist.

Sailor Cat has been all over QCS for the last week complaining about the mods and admins to such an extent that it was obvious they were grudge posting

That was always inevitable.

The real over/under is if Lowtax has said shit to Jeffrey since the “sale” and Jeffrey is just kind of playing along about lawyers because it’s better than saying “Richard hasn’t said shit to me in the last several days.” Koalas Mooch called him out on that during The Great Troon Uprising. So she thought calling him out and leaking the mod forum was a good idea to show how unresponsive he was.

One of the biggest complaints from mods and admins is that Lowtax is unresponsive. Jeffrey is enough of a mopey fag to pretend it’s still happening but to Richard, selling off the forums is taken as seriously as SA Beer or Zybourne Clock. Now that his Patreon has been decimated, he feels no reason why all his passive income streams should go away.

Also all the goons and mod who are still there are proving they won't walk. Richard will just wait for this to go away.
