These loons talking about Wakanda being real remind me of the autists killing themselves a decade ago because the planet from Avatar wasn't real.

Except this time they want an isolationist ethnostate while saying it's wrong for anyone else to want one.
 
Fuck, I want to go to Hogwarts. Or to Dagobah and learn how to be a Jedi Knight.

And hell, I remember KAT BLACK, of all people, saying it was stupid to get upset about white kids dressing up as characters of other races for Halloween. (She showed pictures of little girls as Moana, Tiana, etc) Kat fucking Black. They weren't painting their faces black, just wearing the outfits.

The only thing my mother worried had to worry about was managing to fit my costume over a turtleneck and tights. (It gets cold on Halloween here in the 'Burgh) C'mon.
 
I was a senior in high school when the Malcolm X hype was building, Spike Lee encouraged teens to skip school to see that horseshit. It was one of the only days in my school there wasn’t violence.

Aydin Paladin actually released a video about something like this recently, but in relation to protestors using Harry Potter as a talking point rather than wanting to move to fictional countries. The gross (and probably innacurate) simplification is that people who ascribe themselves to the far left have personalities that like to feel things for the sake of feeling and easily buy into fictional worlds, while also not being the type to like to think things through for it's own sake, so they tend to identify with and base their ideas on works of fiction they really enjoy.

Yet drag queens and trans people were among some of the biggest, loudest supporters of LGBT rights during the Stonewall era. Why turn your back on your fellow queens?

I miss the days when the only people who were condemning Halloween costumes were those wacko conservative Christian fundamentalist types who believe that Halloween was devil worship.

They were cringe-inducing in their own right, but the mainstream media and academia rightly mocked them instead of coddling them like they do with the SJW's.
