To be fair, it's not a remake, but a play set in the years that Harry's kids are going to school, and the actress who was cast as Hermione happens to be black. Since it's a stage play, and Rowling liked the actress, I don't see what the big deal there is. She wasn't cast because she was black, just because she got the part. But you should hear the screaming of people about PC and "THAT'S NOT HERMIONE!!!" Relax people. It's a play. Like, as in, on stage. Maybe it's just me, but plays are somehow different than movies or whatever.
(I know far, far too much about shit like this. I should probably stop reading comments on articles)
I remember people making a stink about this and then Rowling posted a quote from the first book which only gave a very brief description of the character.
