Why does Tumblr have an obsession with vitiligo?

It's a simple way to mass-produce feel-feel, and, no surprise, they fail at it just the same. And trust me, there's a lot of drawn-like-hammered-shit ponies out there too.... all over DA, fallout from the last SJW art-surrogate craze.

I'll have to ask my brother sometime, but, he actually went to art school and, one of his guilty pleasures was watching those who didn't have any artistic talent beyond just aping popular cartoons flunked out, I'll bet they're the ones doing this stuff.....

And since you said it was also graft their own ideas earlier, it does reinforce the fail they make. No one sae themselves likes to see some Adventure Time derived drawing soapboxing about evil capitalist white males or some MLP knock-off drawing that says CIS people are disgusting. You may as well have your brother input his thoughts on these SJW artist and their extremes in how they'd criticize other peoples are despite theirs being nothing more than a derivative of more popular artist or cartoons.

Really it comes off as try hard and makes you think they're filled with more political nonsense than a gullible North Korean. Like do they ever have any other thoughts or activities that isn't infested with how they believe themselves as victims? Plus it's getting more and more creepy and apparent they have serious issues separating individuals from groups including themselves.

I see it more as xenophobia like look at the stuff they scare themselves with like discrimination or rape two things that are now at a record low in history but they still need them to demonize others. I'm still torn if it's malice, fear, jealousy, pride, or anyone these toxic human emotions they love to drink into a stupor with.
 
They really do seem adverse to admitting that ANYTHING has gotten better for anyone in the last 40 years..... don't they? Yes, race relations aren't perfect today, but, we do have a black President, on his second term... is that worth nothing? According to SJWs, yes, and President Obama isn't a "real" black person anyway....

In the mind of the SJWs, race relations are still at the "Orville Faubus blocking Little Rock High" stage.
 
I think a lot of the nit-picky complaints they make are because they are so desperate to prove the world is rotten and they're it's savior that they lose total historic and current perspective in the process, you find ONE instance where a black person hasn't succeeded and BAM you've found it! Forget the circumstances!
 
I'm sure this has been said before, but I often find that SJWs are bigots themselves, just in a "benevolent" manner. I once saw an SJW claim that only he could speak for LGBT+ rights because he's a straight white male, and members of the LGBT+ can't do it for themselves.
Of course, when I think of the black civil rights movement, I remember the efforts of white people, not Martin Luther King, Jr. or Rosa Parks.
And when I brought that remark up with a friend, she responded about how she thinks of the National Guard enforcing integration.

This is one of the many reasons I don't take SJWs seriously.

But the National Guard was ordered to integrate the Little Rock Nine. MLK and Rosa Parks did it of their own free will.

Your friend clearly slept through history class.
 
Now that I think about it, going back to the links with the redesigned superheroes, I think a tattooed Gambit could work. With the right ones and non-Tumblr artist, it could look sexy. While I'm not the biggest Rouge fan, they just changed too much of her.

I think a key thing these people forget when it comes to well established characters it's important you can look at them and quickly go "Oh that's X"
 
Well, a big chunk of it is that, but, characterization is still the lion's share. Ultimate Marvel's version of Nick Fury is black, and I was a bit skeptical it was anything but window dressing when he started appearing in the animated canon, but, first three words out of his mouth, and I KNEW it was Nick Fury.... and all was good. See? The SJW's should LOVE that, but they don't, because he's not trans too.

Said ass patters doing it because they agree with its political message, not it's actual quality. Then you combine something like Patreon into the mix and then you get people paying artists because their political beliefs line up, not for their quality of their art, assuming most people can actually make a livelihood off of that in the first place. And I guess that's not necessarily a bad thing but it's not really good either, especially if the artist is influenced to use bad techniques for the sake of... justice.

I guess it wouldn't be nearly as annoying as it is if it wasn't for the self-righteousness of it all.
 
Yeah, because that self-righteousness includes seeking out and ridiculing the artists who are in it for the art, and not the political message. The fact that a form of expression may carry no political message really is lost on them. To them, drawing a realistic female figure isn't an exercise in practicing anatomy, it's an exercise in continuing gender stereotypes, what I have to say be damned.... and they'd feel perfectly justified in DNSing any website I have on that alone in the name of justice.... yet they never ONCE asked what my politics really are.

That and making things good takes time and effort, which is not most SJW artists minds.
