Tumblr liked to name their favorite ship pairings by smashing together the names of the participants. It was just as gay as it sounds.
Outsider sympathy, I guess. "This person is an outsider from society at large. I also am an outsider from society at large. We should be friends." It makes sense in a Goonies sort of way, but then you actually run into a group of people whose only unifier is being "outsiders". I think you're also picking up something I've noticed: these people are not normal horror fans. Most horror fans like the gross, disgusting, scary aspects. These people see the monster as just another thing to woobify.

So, been quite a long while since I last posted here. I found an artist about 3 years ago, named katdoods. She mainly posts artwork of Zombieland Saga, which is how I found her. I forgot about her quickly, but lately have been seeing her art around, since the second season came out earlier this year.
Her header:
She ships a few characters from the show, but the main one she ships is Junko and Yugiri. She blackwashes them pretty badly, especially Junko.
Her art:
This is supposed to be Junko.

This is Saki and Sakura, another ship of hers, but its not as prominent on her blog as Junko and Yugiri are.
And for reference, here's what the characters actually look like:

They have more art on their blog, about three years worth to be honest, these are the most recent examples since I didn't really feel like digging through her entire blog.

One thing is an artist adapting a character to their style and other is making them completely unrecognizable.
This is dumb but I have consider commissioning this type of artist just to see how they would butcher my characters, but often they are WAY too expensive for that their art is worth.

I would say that the Twittards follow that rule well but I don't think they're even aware of it. They just simply hate anything that looks better than them, especially if pale skin is involved.

Reminds me how a lot of people say Link in breath of the wild is trans/gender fluid because of the stuff he has to wear to enter gerudo town.
