Why does Tumblr have an obsession with vitiligo?

  • Suicide Girl model and America's Next Top Model contestant have it, spread on Tumblr, that's why.

Isn't vitiligo the same condition that turned Michael Jackson's skin white? Considering how difficult it was for him to live like that, you'd think that SJWs would act more sensible when depicting vitiligo in fanart...but that's asking too much from them.
Perhaps they thought of "re-vitiligo" which is according to a fictional black man is what Michael Jackson got but in reverse. Really though, SJW's wouldn't be sensible, they would no doubt delude themselves in thinking they understand better.

I think its a character from Steven Universe.

It's probably Jasper.

Remember that woman I showed you guys who was ranting into spergitory over the art in the D&D 5th edition core books? Well, she's going to make it into a series and goes on about how horrible the monster manual is. Maybe its just me, but the "worst" example pic don't seem that bad. I feel sorry for the gaming industry having to put up with her (since she does work there.) So I decided to change my avatar into something "more to her liking."

"Re-vitiligo"? Just when I thought these people couldn't come up with stupider terms.

I can defintely see an SJW trying to convince someone with vitiligo that they're a perfect beautiful snowflake, only to foam at the mouth and screech when said person disagrees with them.

Taken from the tumblr:
"Male figures counted as “suggestively attired” are almost never sexy; female figures almost always are"
Sexiness is in the eye of the beholder, yo.

Edit: I think her name is Jasper, the orange colored one.
It's probably Jasper.
Yeah, I figured that was probably who it was. This is Jasper in case you were wondering:

Half of Tumblr never shuts up about how much they want to fuck her. The other half has labeled her "abusive" and "problematic" because she's a villain and does things that villains do. Even more so than the other characters, she's a prime target for Tumblr-style uglification in fanart for some reason.

I really want to troll that "Go Make Me a Sandwich" blog. She sounds exactly like the kind of SJW art critic that I love to hate on. Plus she would have a field day with most of the stuff I enjoy producing as an artist.

EDIT: I posted this:
With regards to the entire trend of so-called “sexualization” of female characters in art, there is a simple explanation for that. Straight male artists, myself included, like drawing pictures of hot women. Always have, always will. This predates patriarchy as a social institution by thousands upon thousands of years. And it’s not an impulse exclusive to straight males either, as a casual glance at the romance section in most bookstores will show you. Nothing more to it than good ol’ emotions inspiring art.

And it’s not necessarily sexism either. There is a world of difference between sexual desire inspiring art and restricting one sex’s opportunities or denying their humanity. Even so-called “objectification” is more about LIMITING one sex to a certain role (namely tool of reproduction) than simply appreciating their sex appeal. The female characters you’re complaining about may have been designed with sex appeal in mind (although in many cultures around the world, showing more skin is a daily fact of life), but they’re hardly barefoot-and-pregnant types with no agency.

On the other hand, you do raise a valid point about double standards in how men and women in this kind of art are represented, but I would chalk that up to male artists predominating this genre. Part of that might have more to do with more men than women being interested in art of this genre, but I wouldn’t rule out gender discrimination in hiring artists either.

You should. I'd like to see what you post in the articles.

I already did comment (see the edit on my earlier post in this theead). She still edited it out and replaced it with this meme:
You know, maybe the reason gamers aren't taken seriously has less to do with how they portray women, but how they respond to opposition of any sort. For Pete's sake, your post wasn't even all that aggressive against her point. It just offered a different point of view. It's even worse than her simple response of "No," to the person suggesting the incubus is just as sexualized as the succubus.

Deleting opposing viewpoints just undermines your argument.

Wow, it's been ages since I've seen the White Privilege Denying Dude meme.

I remember there being a huge stink about this meme at some point because the original tumblr was taken down because the actual model was complaining about it.

It certainly does show you're not seriously interested in dialogue.

Truthfully it was a disappointing response. She didn't even bother to put up a fight. But on the bright side, the comment didn't actually disappear; she just cut out my text and pasted a silly meme in its place. Great way to show the browsing public what kind of conversations you're willing to engage in.

Well, you know someone's salty when they replace your comment with a shit meme instead of ignoring it.

Edit: Forgot to add. Can I say, that is probably one of the most condescending response I've ever seen? The message, the picture, the person using it, they work so well together.

You'd think a bunch of know-nothing westerners "correcting" characters drawn by east Asian artists might be considered... problematic.

Japanese are POC fluid; POC when they're oppressed, white when drawing anime tiddies.

I missed it, what did you say in your response? She even bitches about fanart.

I hate the ones that go after fanart because the artist is probably gonna get harassed by people who scream harassment at any slight.
