Araki's outlandish character designs always make me go "what the fuck", especially the later parts. But it will never match the feelings that that I have seeing these tumblr redesigns.

A truly macabre and sophisticated artist, Sunguts (OW THE EDGGGE)

Darker skin colour makes the character from "aestetic" picture look like she's missing a nose.
This style would have been more tolerable if there weren't dozens of dozens of people out there who draw in the same exact way. One of my former favourite artists stopped being my favourite because they started to degrade into this crap.

I try not to harp on art styles themselves since I usually find them to be subjective but... ech I don't like that thing one bit. It just kinda has that 'yuck' quality kinda like Dobson's stuff but at least in his case it's mostly down to incompetence, this is just ugly on purpose.

Like if you wanna draw a character seen as ugly in a decent light through style? It ain't that hard, there's few characters one can't make at least creepycute or uglycute. Making everything butt ugly just makes the art itself butt ugly.

Those redesigns are fucking ugly. That's what I still don't get about these so-called 'artists'. They think they can redesign characters, yet fail so hard at even the basics of anatomy. I doubt they even paid attention in art class, assuming any of them took one.

I don't think these guys got the memo that the Zero Suit is what Samus wears under her power armor.

They'd think it probably counts as armor just because of one small segment in Zero Mission (which is really more like stealth with a bit of the SAX chase from Fusion mixed in) and because of Zero Suit Samus fighting in Brawl, even though said suit is no different in protection like Captain Falcon's clothes or Snake's sneaking suit.

Those redesigns are fucking ugly. That's what I still don't get about these so-called 'artists'. They think they can redesign characters, yet fail so hard at even the basics of anatomy. I doubt they even paid attention in art class, assuming any of them took one.

They're all "style", no substance basically.

While the thing about topless lady fencers was interesting, I can't help getting an alarm sounding in my head when they said they would like to see topless female warriors. As in this might be a trap if someone tried it, they'd jump down the artist's throat (if she didn't have the proper look.)

I wonder what they'd think of the RPG suppliment, Sisters of Rapture. It has topless warrior women who fight for womanhood.

All I can say is that those pants look out of place with Storm's outfit. Seriously, it's like she didn't bother to put on some lower part of her costume save for the boots.

There's nothing wrong with trying to cover up female characters, but couldn't you at least try to make it "stormy", if that makes sense. Like, she has cape because it makes an impression on the reader whenever she uses her powers.

Isn't it kind of sexist to make only female characters cover 90% of their bodies? I haven't seen any redraws of Conan The Barbarian or Dr Manhattan making them more modest.
