Apparently these two are the same characters...

Gotta love their logic, tho: redesign = completely new character; OC = recolor.

I have no idea who that destinymoon is, but there's only so much fat, melanin and stretch marks I can stomach. But it's most definitely for diversity and appreciation's sake, totally not a fetish at all, of course not.

Trish didn't originally wear any pants in the manga and dressed a lot more scantily, so I'm guessing this is the artists way of trying to avert the male gaze or something.

Every time I hear about "the male gaze" is usually term for people who are sexist and prejudice toward certain types of women especially they can't tell difference reality and fictional people. It's just annoying sometimes especially when women likes this shit too. But apparently they are "men" too.

I think "male gaze" is much better term for camera angles and shot set up than anything else. A scene that's all about that ass or those boob, but not really straight up porn. "Male gaze" really captures that idea very well. For character design I think a dreamgirl or miss fan service are a lot better terms, Not that's inherently a bad thing or anything like that but there definitely are female characters build mostly toward male enjoyment.

This artist realizes you can draw black people without making them look fucking ugly right?
But then they would look attractive to other people, including white people. Can't have that.

White people can't be happy they had it good enough for too long. We must get rid of the root of all evil, whiteness!
