I highly doubt that since pixiv allows certain content they find offensive and the site won't banned those ~problematic~ artists for it.

Also they won't get popular on pixiv with there ~unique~ art since other ppl aren't into it. Why do you think they get views on tumblr, twitter, and deviant art.

As a person who visits Pixiv regularly, I have to agree.

I've been told my friends more fluent than myself that there's a lot of really shitty western fetish art that gets posted to Pixiv and apparently the Japanese-speaking users absolutely abhor it. Not because it's fetish art but because western posters don't seem to have any sense of quality, shame, or of what deserves to be posted online and what should remain hidden away in a sketchbook as a bad, bad memory.

I don't care much for overt pride art, but I kinda dig the artist's attempt at aping the Schoolhouse Rock-esque hand-drawn 70s style. The color schemes could've been better, though.

If they used traditional media, maybe it would look better and more retro but that takes effort to learn than using flat, undynamic lines and colours.

okay now I feel kinda bad about knocking at the previous artists' schoolhouse rock-esque style - this just looks... ugly? I mean... good on you if that's what you were going for, but if art had a smell, than this would reek of grease.

also this artist kins as jeff the killer and just has that cookie cutter "edgy soft boi" vibe
