artwork aside, if u have to take off video previews for ur game and it stops u from working on it because of people criticizing ur artstyle even if they do it real fucking rudely, having to have someone else come in like ur kindergarten teacher like "come on guys show her some support, she really tried on this macaroni art" maybe ur not ready to make a game. or to adult in general. take a breather, sort urself out and come back when u can tune those people out

This is another huge problem I see in artist circles on the internet a lot more now, especially on Tumblr. A common thread I see is that they often complain about how demoralizing it is to receive "unsolicited critique," which always seems to translate into "any comment that isn't 100% positive that you didn't explicitly ask the artist/writer permission to post beforehand", as seen in a handful of examples here: (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11) The common thread seems to be that a single negative comment can make an artist/writer "LITERALLY QUIT ART FOREVER!!!! (btw here's my ko-fi page)" even if they claim that they're aspiring to be a professional in that field. It's a little depressing to see so many art circles have adopted the mindset that any drop of negativity shouldn't be allowed and any hostility the critic is met with, no matter how polite they are, is deserved and totally doesn't make the artist/writer look like an immature tool acting like a 13 year old well into their 20s.

Though on an interesting note, I've also noticed a pattern where a lot of the people who bitch the most about "no unsolicited critique or I'll kill myself and then quit art uwu" also tend to be the same people who cry the hardest about how no one ever shares, likes, or comments on their work. They don't seem to realize this attitude doesn't make everyone go "oh I guess I'll only leave a super positive comment" so much as it causes the majority to not bother because they don't want to have to deal with a tantrum for not liking 100% of something you made.

yeah it's an older version of the myth supposedly where Persephone(then named Korè) pretty much barges into the underworld and is like "I live here now" and Hades was like "aight" and Demeter was an overbearing mom. Such a version doesn't actually exist, but here's a good recap of various older versions that do give it a less rape-y slant

I'm not sure I would call this SJW art. It's got all the hallmarks of a bad tween fanfic - complete with the convoluted way Persephone and Hades meet and the uninspired modern setting, let's just be thankful it's not a coffee shop - and it's clearly a much more whitewashed version of the original myth, but I wouldn't say those traits automatically make that a SJW comic. Mainly because from what I can see, the art style (though really unpolished) seems to opt for making every character conventionally attractive, clean shaven, skinny, and with no indication of any race-bending or including a million gender and sexuality labels for each character in favor of a personality.

so yeah. It looks kinda dumb, but I think it's just the regular kind of bad as opposed to SJW bad.

That would make perfect sense if the artist didn't established that cell phones exist in her world. Ignoring cell phones exist to advance your plot is lazy and trite writing. He could have used her cell phone to call her friends and pass along his number if you really want to used a drunk girl as a plot device.

I think my favorite types of SJW artists are the ones that scream about white washing when a dark skinned character is shown slightly lighter than their official art. I've seen Tumblr SJWs literally accuse artists of white washing their own characters and will go about making "fixes" that take the original art and darken the skin. I've also seen these people throw shit fits if the skin color of a character's 3D model is different from their official or in game portrait art. Tumblrinas have no grasp on anatomy, lighting, composition, and all the other fundamentals of art so I'm not surprised.
