Nobody ever said Bayonetta "isn't sexualized". She IS sexualized but she isn't just some woman who exist only to be sexy. She's more than just "a sexy woman", she's a pretty badass woman with a pretty snarky humor and also a pretty decent backstory.

While I admit Bayonetta is too easy of an example for "Sexualized girls aren't bad" but she is one of the good example on how to make a good character with a sexy design. I feel the person behind this blog failed to understand that simple concept. If a woman is created solely to be sexy and nothing else, she's not a good character, she is just a literal sex object.

Sorry for sperging a little but it's kinda annoying how they constantly bitch about sexy looking characters, especially when some of these characters aren't so bad.

"cishet men". That's where one may as well drop reading the "no agency" stuff. Also, Bayonetta and DmC are more or less one person going against hordes of enemies and fighting them with style. Saying Dante's "cool factor" came from being the son of a demon doesn't really back it up as much as people playing the character and doing all sorts of combos. Wincen's being a tool if she thinks some Taki outfit is what causes a crappy derivative of SCV to close down. If anything, the eye candy armor may of been more of an attempt to either keep player interest or more likely factor into the monetization stuff the game was criticized for.

You should see all the other sperging BBAD has done on female characters. While there can be legit reasons to complain about say Quiet from Phantom Pain, the Tumblr itself acts like the character is some grave sin, never mind that the games they complain about are really just games where outside of cutscenes and storylines, logic could end up taking the backseat.

As a cis-shet penis, I honestly wonder who even gives a damn over the fiction to be realistic part. While this does come from my perspective, I will say that who really cares about that when playing a game, especially if its something where a single gunshot or stab isn't really some instant kill or heavy damage attack. They also made some retorts to justify the boxes in the bingo. It all really makes one wonder: Much as sexy armor can be cringe and all, how many are actually even giving a shit and how many actually don't give a flying fuck (not even some cringe to it)? I like how in the second image, they use a guy from a western shooter game and the woman being from a JRPG. Also, the sexy outfit in that looks like something meant for a Christmas theme that's most likely a joke. And like a dead horse, it brings up the whole battle or freezing environment. Are video games really going to be this super serial when it comes to silly outfits?

I remember seeing the original post and thinking it was a parody because whoa there, so many SJW stereotyopes in one single package. (i.e., the "non-binary girl" bullshit, which is often Tumblrese for "I'm not like ~the other girls~" from what I have seen). Then I saw her increasingly butthurt and screechy replies to people calling her out on her BS and was all "are you kidding me?!"

What a fucking baby.

As a corollary, one of her friends refuses to make Holiday!Tharja icons because "I DON'T SUPPORT OVERSEXUALIZATION OF FEMALE CHARACTERS" and "I LOVE THARJA, SHE DOESN'T DESERVE THIS". Yet one of the icons she makes has a quite clear close-up of the 14/15-year-old Lissa's cleavage. So an adult woman's tits are too much for her, but it's okay to zoom in to show a young teenager's? Smells like hypocrisy and creepiness, if you ask me.

I also think a lot of this drama is due to Tharja already being a huge punching bag in certain sections of the fandom (mostly the anti fanservice crowd and old school FE fans.) This banner also came right after she won a voting gauntlet in Heroes against Sigurd (the main character of Fire Emblem 4, the sacred cow of the series) which doubles the salt flowing from this shit storm.

Not to mention there are examples of female characters in the modern FE games that do wear practical clothing yet the OP conveniently ignored them.

But in all honesty, the design for the bunny girl from Xenoblade 2 is fucking ugly. The broken spine is what killed it for me. Though I don't go apeshit over her design like every feminist gamers. I personally don't mind sexy characters but the bunny girl? Awful design...

I don't know the specifics of it, but my understanding is that you can't make threads about fandoms. I believe that the rule was put in place after the apparent shitshow that was the thread on the Steven Universe fandom.
