Ah yes. Japanese people, Schrodinger's minority. Most reasonable people agree that Japanese Americans are a racial minority, but for whatever reason Tumblr likes to pick and choose what situations they should be considered minorities in.

The fact of the matter is that Japanese people have pretty much the same range of skin tones that white people do, but many artists on Tumblr have the bizarre mindset that east Asian people need to be drawn brown or in some cases literally yellow in order to appear "non-white enough". It's frankly just as racist as whitewashing them.

I think my favorite cases of this are Gorillaz fanart where noodle has yellow skin
 
Jirou has an eavesdropping ability and superhumans in the series have a physical mutation representing their power.

Poorly drawn in some parts nevertheless. At least the faces aren't the typical pancakes with humongo noses?
