Imagine expecting a game development team in a saturated market from a conservative country to design an entire new category of custom assets and voicelines for a character option that maybe a few quirky girls from the West will appreciate (and knowing these types, they won't let the team use AI to speed up the process either), while stirring up a massive shitstorm of controversy. Actually, no game should have that option to begin with, especially not when it's marketed as family-friendly. Nintendo didn't get the memo in the newest version of Tomodachi Life.

A japanese artist I follow uses a translator when he wants to say something in english. And when talking about his OC (who is female) the translator defaults to male pronouns when translating from JP to English.
And he had to clarify that she uses She/Her, making some really disappointed that his OC wasnt a woman that uses He/him.

There's no way NoJ doesn't have a single employee who is fluent in both Japanese and English, and collaborates with the NoA localization team. The higher-ups at Nintendo know the implication of using "nonbinary" English translations in Tomodachi Life and Splatoon. Many pairs of eyes - both Japanese and American - saw this, signed off on it, and said it was appropriate to include in the promotional video.

They're more like a mish-mash of ancient mesoamerican cultures (Aztec, mayan, etc.), the land they're from is even called "Soumerca" in the comics, but in sonic adventure 2 Knuckles' stages had rap music soundtracks so fans interpret him as black instead.

I actually did think about this last night and amused myself. I did the same thing in the Sims 4 when they added "gender customization." The first thing I did was make a brickhon with she/her pronouns and put in his bio that UM MISGENDERING IS LITERALLY VIOLENCE?????

Again, how are these people oppressed? I tried to look up this answer and all I get are people claiming invalidating their identity is discriminating against them. As far as I'm aware, no one claims that asexual is not necessarily real. Its just something that doesn't require some stupid label, validation, etc because no one cares that you dont want to have sex. Hell, even according to these people, they have a shit ton of sex, have a high sex drive, and still demand to be called asexual because "its sexual attraction". This is like if a guy had sex with over 10 different women but claims he's gay because "I don't have a sexual attraction to women"

I hate asexuality so much because it means nothing nowadays. I was told by someone online that I was demisexual just because I move slowly in romance and don't immediately want to jump into bed with someone.

If you are truly, truly asexual, then yes, it's a disorder. I am tired of people saying that it's just an orientation and not a disorder. No, it's definitely a disorder because it could indicate a hormonal problem. Or it's a symptom of severe trauma.

Actual asexuality is extremely rare. But according to these people it's as common as sand on a beach.

From personal experience, lots of Asexuals are some of the horniest people I ever seen, but because they only have or think of sex "some times" they are still asexual.

I seen other asexual believe that anyone who is not identifying as the same as them is constantly fighting the urge to have sex with anything that has a pulse.

Kinda reminds me of women who draw all the stuff they criticize gooners for doing but because "its for the lesbians" it makes it ok.
