You could argue that doing so symbolizes her being more comfortable with her identity as a half-demon... though the movie showed she looked nothing like this even at her most emotionally unstable, physically deformed, tear apart the Honmoon just from walking, demon form.
Since she's half human im sure she would lose some of the "traditional" demon features.
Its weird because I've seen arguments where people claim that they know these headcanons wont be canon in the show/anime and mostly do it for fun but...is it really fun? I mean when I headcanon things, its usually something that's grounded in canon as being probably true. Secondly, why is it always queer headcanons? Again, I don't really get how or why fandoms are full of these types because again, you would think a large portion of fandoms would at least have people shipping straight ships and making headcanons that actually are grounded and not something LGBTQ related.

My guess its like someone said a few pages ago, its more so a power dynamic mixed with attention seeking. None of these people truly believe Sonic is a trans male. Its just their way of annoying everyone by saying "WERE HERE AND WERE QUEER!" Honestly, does anyone here think that these type of people in fandoms is what lead to the LGBTQ acceptance decline? I know people blame the TQ+ and chances are a lot of these people aren't even gay, but regardless, a lot of these headcanons start out as minor annoyances but evolve into straight up aggressive territory. Pretty much if you disagree with it you'll be banned and labelled an outcast from certain parts of the fandom. Its weird because I have friends from different racial backgrounds who don't really care that much about representation. So why have those who claim to be a part of the LGBTQ community gotten so aggressive and label any character as "queer coded" whereas no other group does this to the extremes?

Ive seen that as well. Its weird because the definition of headcanon nowadays is "Here's my personal OC-ified take on a character I like but isn't mine" and what they make is so far from the actual canon interpretation. Back then, it at least meant a fan's idea or concept around a character that is neither proven or disproven in canon, and was at best a hypothesis on the character. AKA "It could happen". The problem is that a lot of these "queer" headcanons dont feel like something they really believe the character is like and are just put for the sake of wanting "rep" and pats on the back from SJWs online. Its weird because the same people that go "You can't prove a negative" are the same ones who would argue with you and say "There is no evidence this character is trans but you can't prove they aren't! So therefore, I headcanon this character is trans" even when there's no reason to actually believe a character is trans and canon content contradicts it.

It's impressive that someone can write something like this and still miss the very obvious conclusion. Yes, you won't be a real boy. Yes, you're stuck in the body you were born as. Yes, the people who "affirm" you know this too and are just being polite. Why someone would knowingly continue on a self-destructive path that'll never get them what they want rather than accepting their lot in life is astonishing.
