Hang on didn't this game flop so hard they had to retcon and decanonize this game the moment the season ended?
I thought it was the other band Misfits for a second fuck just imagine Glenn Danzig coming out as trans.Because when you think of acceptance, the Misfits fit the bill, right?

What really gets me is how he acts superior to people who agree with him in this.
The same goes for good guys to an extent: all morally grey antiheroes or heroes who turn into villains. It reflects the drab nihilism of the people behind these trends.Haven't read those comics but there is this obsession with not having "real bad guys" in stories anymore.
They always have to be "misunderstood/misguided misfits". Villains are not allowed to just be Evil for Evil's sake. they always have to have tragedy that makes them sympathetic or "the true good guys of the story"
There's this thought that permeates a lot of this bad writing, that villains have a reasonable point. They want something to change and are trying to enact change outside the traditional means. But when you water a villain down that much, you just get a rebel, which is what these people identify themselves with. The thing with villains is IF they have a valid point, they go way too far to achieve it and cause more harm than doing things the right way would've done. Otherwise, their point ISN'T valid. They don't have all the information, they don't trust other actors in the situation, or they want something that fundamentally won't work after they achieve it.The same goes for good guys to an extent: all morally grey antiheroes or heroes who turn into villains. You know you can have an antagonist who isn't a villain, and a protagonist who isn't a hero right? You can have villainous protags and heroic antags. The problem is more with characters who are wrongly labeled as "heroes" or "villains" simply for being assigned the protag/antag role regardless of their actual actions and goals. There's this thought that permeates a lot of this bad writing, that villains have a reasonable point. Not sure about comics but I've noticed films (especially Disney) also have this weird obsession with twist villains. Don't get me wrong, twist villains can work, but they've done it so much to the point where as soon as the main character meets someone who is overly nice to them, you can just pretty much say "They're the villain". Its fine to teach kids to be cautious with people that you've just met, but its getting to the point where someone said that with how many twist villains there are, its going to teach kids to basically not trust anyone who is just a nice person. Really, twist villains also proves Crex Crex's point about the drab nihilism of the people behind these trends. There's this thought that permeates a lot of this bad writing, that villains have a reasonable point. I'd say part of that issue stems from the setting sometimes. One of the most criticized parts of RWBY was the racism allegory with the Faunus, but the only group in that show that was actually trying to combat bigotry was a violent terrorist organization. When the only people pointing out the flaws in society are the villains, it makes it hard to take the message seriously. There's this thought that permeates a lot of this bad writing, that villains have a reasonable point. I get that, and agree, I just happened to be thinking of capeshit specifically since this conversation started with Harley Quinn, hence heroes and villains. You know you can have an antagonist who isn't a villain, and a protagonist who isn't a hero right? Rate me a doomer but it feels like nobody can write morally grey anymore. After all, not every story has to be black and white. I love some morally grey story, if they're done right.
You're just looking at westernshit. Try looking at the more... Eastern stuff. At the very least something that doesn't come from america.Rate me a doomer but it feels like nobody can write morally grey anymore
I have to be honest, I'm tired of the "just watch anime" response. I want good media from my own country, where I don't feel like I have to do research to understand the weird foreign shit that's just structural in other shows. Just the basic cultural stuff like how school is structured and what is/isn't considered appropriate for certain ages is weird enough to get used to, but even the storytelling is different over there. You're just looking at westernshit. Blaze looks like he's on his way to 41-land.That's instantly where my brain went, too. Even ignoring the tranny, everything about the comic is tumblr personified from the hideous art, "fashion", and story. They even had the tearful confession and acceptance bit. Because when you think of acceptance, the Misfits fit the bill, right?

"Are you Batman?"
This Rosalina design, despite keeping her white, is potentially the ugliest one I have seen in my entire life. It should be considered an act of jihad.
How is this not the same as fascist propaganda from the past?
