I'm not sure if it's the right thread, I remember there was one about webcomics, but I can't find it.
Anyway, I've stared reading that "
Rock and Riot" webcomic and it's really bad. 6 "chapters" and:
- all suggested couples are queer
- everybody faints and got heart eyes seeing all-female and all-male gang members, so everybody in school is bisexual I guess? Or author have troubles with showing that those background characters feel admiration for cool school clique.
- everybody use "they/them" pronouns for strangers
- there is a full chapter dedicated to a new cool kid in school who feel limited by all-girls and all-boys gangs and by gender and (PLOT TWIST!) already has a gang from old school, made of hairy tumblrina, black Hulk tumblrina and undercut tumblrina.
And in this weird 1950s Happy Queer World main character still feels opressed and is afraid of what people will say about her and her girlfriend.
After 7 short chapters there is already a printed version and other stuff to buy.
In chapter 8 we find out one of girls is tranny.
In chapter 13 there is first straight couple in the background.
In chapter 14 they are talking about how hard it is to be queer and that they must hide it.
Despite everybody else in this comic probably being queer.
And they are disussing their sexual preferences for next 2-3 chapters in fast food bar. And somebody seen them and they are lying to their friends that they are in straight relationships.
In chapter 18 we meet muslim girl. Or girl just wearing hijab in 1950s, because why not.
And here I've stopped reading. This comic makes no sense.
